We love the Rudy's in Leon Springs but its too far to go so when they put this one here we stop at least once a month. We usually just stop and get take out and bring it home. The best thing is they give a military discount of 10% so that is nice they honor the Military! Bravo for... More

I know they are pretending to use reverse psychology when they wrote "The worst Bar B Q in Texas" but I think this one hit it right on the nail!. The setting is ok, the service is considerable fast. We only tried the brisket and the baby back ribs and they truly lived up to their catch frase! We didn't... More

We are from Austin and go to Rudys all the time. We stopped by this location after a day at Sea World. First we overheard they were out of cream corn, but noticed they had been giving out samples all day. This was fine, we will order turkey, brisket, and beans. Well the meat guy kept asking my husband what... More

Why everyone raves about it and comes here is beyond me? The creamed corn is expensive--you'd think it was made with real gold kernels.

The line snaking out of the door tells you that this is the place. Rudy's is a purpose-built hole in the wall that looks a lot older than it is. It's simulating an old gas station (with new pumps) that's had a BBQ shack tacked on. Go ahead. Be fooled. It's OK. The long line is waiting to belly up... More

Came here as it was the closest to the Hotel that we were staying at down the road. The food was good but way overpriced. You order you food cafeteria style if you can decipher the menu. Some would call it a rustic atmosphere but to me it was just dirty. Both inside and out you sit at the picnic... More

Walked over from a nearby hotel. Really enjoyed the rustic atmosphere, both inside and out, and sitting at the picnic tables on a cool Texas night. The food was good, but not great. The brisket wasn't as flavorful as I expected, and the sides were just OK. Still, I enjoyed it overall.

My family (including boys & girls) LOVE Rudy's brisket, creamed corn, & peach cobbler. My wife gives 2 thumbs up to the Cole slaw. I've got a picky crowd so that's a pretty high rating!!! The brisket ain't cheap but it is good -especially for take out if you want to bring it back to your hotel. Get extra &... More

We thought it was overpriced for what you got. The pork ribs were dry, without much flavor and they certainly didn't fall off the bone. The moist brisket was good, however, the lean brisket was very dry and again, not much flavor. The pinto beans were a disappointment but the potato salad and cream corn were good. Overall, just OK.
