What a great place. Some people may shy away since its on the east side of the highway, but its like 2 blocks away, and this is up and coming... I cannot think of a single dish I did not like. Favorites to me were...Queso al Horno, Dates ala tocino, Shitizo peppers, and patatas bravas. Looking forward to trying other dishes next visitMore

What a great experience we had at Toro Kitchen Bar. Under the Managment of Ian, Franchesca and our all night server GABO, we had an unforgettable day. It was our kid Highschool graduation and we couldn’t ask for a better setting. The amazing and refreshing...sangrias, delicious tapas and scrumptious paella’s seal the night for more to comes. We are making Toro our family gatherings for now and on. All our guests were delight for the amazing top Nosh services GABO provided among the whole team of servers, and the beautiful patio. What a Night! We were until 12am having fun, we don’t want to leave. We coming back for more!!! Note: Our in-laws from Oklahoma were impress as well and can’t wait to come back to the same setting. Thank you so much! Was the perfect party!More

We enjoy authentic Spanish food so based on reviews we headed to Toro. We were not disappointed! We enjoyed a number of tapas including calamari, queso al horno and a small plate of Spanish cheese and meats. We finished with a postre torrijas, an amazing...melt in your mouth sweet cake. We enjoyed a Tempranillo from the Rioja region and some wonderful white Sangria. Our waitress, Carla Z., was attentive, helpful and pleasant. It was a wonderful experience and we would happy return if we are ever back in the area.More

Toro exceeded expectations in all ways. On an unseasonably warm January night we got to sit on the the large patio which was spread out for social distancing, under pretty lights, and listen to beautiful love music that wasn’t too loud. The cocktails were amazing...and well-crafted, and our server was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Every bite of food I had was perfect. We stuck to tapas, and nothing was short of absolutely delicious. The steak with caramelized onions and shishitos, the fried goat cheeses and honey, and the garlic butter scallops were some of my favorites. I’m already planning my next trip back to try the paella. Highly recommend it for a date night or romantic evening, or for a somewhat more upscale experience with someone visiting from out of town. It was perfect for our girls night out. The location is in a fun part of town within walking distance to the river walk, too, which is convenient. P.S. If you want to have an after dinner cocktail, don’t forget to find the secret door to the downstairs cellar 🤫More

Worked in Spain for 25 years. I have seen SA Tapas places come and (sadly) go... Most with either no real experience in Spain or applying their own twist on authentic Tapas. News flash. Don't mess with authentic Tapas! Offerings at Toro tonight, at the...capable and friendly hands of Carmelita, were very good and the Morcilla was on par with the best I have eaten at high end locations in Madrid. We will go back until we have tried all on the menu. Then, likely start over. The Spanish wine offerings are well thougbt out. From Vega's Unico to very affordable tintos. Nice job. Saludos!More

I visited for my daughter's birthday (dinner) on February 15, 2020 The tapas and drinks were excellent. Our waiter was extremely helpful and attentive. However, the hostess was rude and lacked people skills. Since we arrived she tried to avoid us. Later, she came to...our table while our waiter was taking our order and interrupted us to tell him he needed to take good care of another table and go over there. She sure was out of line and could definitely learn some manners.More

Fantastic, truly Spanish tapas restaurant in the heart of San Antonio. I have been here twice, and love it. The food, service and atmosphere couldn’t be better! There is live music on Friday nights and it felt like I was in Spain. Excellent restaurant all...around!More
