I just moved to San Antonio and my search for the best taqueria has begun. I found taqueria el Trompo was driving and decided to try it. The first thing I noticed that it is operated by their owners, a young Mexican husband and wife...team. Next, I saw quite a few Mexican workers eating there. That is always a great sign that it is great comfort food. I have been there several times and have tried all their tacos. Great flavor and generous portion at very affordable prices. Their hot sauce is also very tasty. The Mexican cokes are great deal too. They also offer hamburgers and lunch plates. I cannot say if they are the best tacos in San Antonio (got many places to try) but it is definitively great flavor and a place I’ll be back. They are closed on Sundays.More
