We stopped at the Pearl brewery shops and stumbled on the botika restaurant. We had seven in our party and with five under 25 years old, some very particular appetites. We order 8-9 dishes plus all three deserts . The waiter brought them one course...at a time for us!!! It was awesome! We loved it all! Expertly prepared, great service, good atmosphere!! I don’t always go to San Antonio but if I do I’ll always make time to stop here. My family loved it and as I said before, we had some very particular appetites!!!! Pork belly was fantastic, sushi was great! Loved the sorbet, oh and the short ribs were straight outta heaven!!!!!More

I agree with TravelinJabbo about this restaurant needing to rethink a few things (ie, complicated food descriptions) but not about the portion size. They were too small. It was like trying to order enough food to be full at a tapas restaurant. That's why I...avoid tapas places. I don't like having to order three times before I am full. And before you go thinking that I am obese, I'm 5'2" and weigh 135. And when I am with several people, we don't want our food arriving to the table at different times which was another problem at Botika. It took an unreasonably long time to get potstickers but they comped us for those. Also, my dad ordered the short ribs and they were undercooked. I ordered the octopus and it was only 1 tentacle on top of some tiny potatoes and olives.More

We went here for my hubby's birthday while we were in town. I cannot stress enough how amazing this place was. Lovely atmosphere and we were able to sit outside and enjoy the weather. Our waiter Chris was out of this world good. He was...super knowledgeable about the menu and how things are prepared. And we took his recommendation on drinks and food and it is one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. The food was out of this world and was delicious. We also enjoyed the staff and they took great care of us on a special day!!! If you are there you have to get either the Lacquered Chicken or the Hanger Steak Lomo Saltado, both were out of this world!!!!More

Stopped by here after attending the farmer’s market at the Pearl. Loved the food but our server acted liked we were bothering her and drinks are overpriced - especially during this trying time for the restaurant business. Would think restaurants would be grateful to have...any business and train their servers to be friendly. Always fail to understand any type of attitude at a restaurant. Even more so now. Love the food but probably will not return.More

I found this a difficult restaurant to understand and enjoy. The menu was complex, and required much translation from the server - which really shouldn't be the case. The drink menu was undecipherable - I wanted a cocktail, but the descriptions and names of the...drinks were so obscure I decided to skip it. Usually the name of the drink gives you a clue to what category of drink it is, but here the names were meaningless and the list of ingredients don't tell you if the drink is something like a straight-up martini, vs something tall with ice, sweet, sour, strong, etc. The food itself was interesting... but I did not enjoy the flavors. Each dish was imaginative, attractive and good portion size - but didn't taste quite right. I was impressed with the attempt to come up with something different, but it didn't work for me.More

This restaurant came highly recommended so my friend and I decided to check it out. The eggplant noodle dish and the trout were amazing! And the waitress was friendly and helpful.

We had foodie friends in town who thoroughly enjoyed San Antonio but wanted something besides Tex Mex for lunch. Botika’s Asian Peruvian fusion delivered 100%. We ordered four different dishes and shared. Everything from the sushi to the ceviche was delicious! Nice wine list, and...very gracious service in a beautiful setting made for a perfect outing.More

Had dinner on Saturday for my son's birthday and was hoping for more. Food was good though I would not say it was reflective of food I have had in Peru. It lacked the fresh clean taste of the Peruvian standard. Waitress was inexperienced. Forgot...drink order, coffee service at end of the meal, " we do not have any.. it is kind of late" at 0930PM? At 50$ a head the pedestrian food does not merit the cost and you are better saving for a plane ticket to PeruMore

I checked out this place after seeing it featured in the southwest airline magazine. I made reservations but obviously didn’t need to. The food was good, especially the sushi roll. The Cajun spiced mixed nuts on the menu are a joke. No spice. The eggplant...was recommended but was overwhelmed with way too much flavor so was disappointed. Flavor was good but way over the top. This was my first time here so I’m sure they have better options than what I chose. I would go back to try something different.More

Interesting mixture of Peruvian and Asian foods. Tasty with unusual spices. I had a short rib and noodle combo. Dragon sushi excellent. Very good dumplings. After walking the Pearl, wonderful place to relax and enjoy.

Yes, for the weekend. We went on a Saturday and they were extremely busy.
