I like to keep things positive and real at the same time; not easy to do at times. This particular bar is a very cozy one that, together with the entire resort, is made to entertain everyone, including little ones. Your kids may even learn...to shoot a rifle even if you're not from Texas. Very cute gizmo on one of their walls. The service was excellent, again, like everything else on the resort. The night before we left, we decided we didn't feel like driving into town for dinner, so we stayed at the resort. My burger was phenomenal. However, my friend's meal not quite so. She ended up ordering something different that turned out to be not to her taste. Some times seafood so far away from the coast may not be such a grand idea.More
This is not really a bar for adults, as it is geared for families and children. In addition, watch your bill. We ordered two drinks with the "house brand" of liquor and an additional $4 was added to each of the already fully priced drinks....I mentioned it to a manager and he removed the extra charges, but we've never been somewhere where the House liquor results in additional charges above the menu price.More
On,y restaurant that was opened at Hyatt on a Wednesday night. Opened at 4 and not sure when closing. Limited menu. Hamburger with tax was $17. Fries were above average and hamburger was good but expensive hotel food. Service was a bit slow and they...weren’t busy. There is a pool table and darts and several TVs. Water was served in plastic cups. There were outdoor seats but it appeared they weren’t serving there.More
For a hotel bar, Charlie’s is pretty good as they go. This has more of a family feel to it as there is some seating and games. The bar area itself is very neat and well organized. It can take a while to be served...when it is busy since the bar is so long.
Had a BLT with my drinks and it was a very good sandwhich. Met lots of neat people.More
We ate here every evening we stayed at the resort. My teenager says the hamburger is the best ever. The bartender was very friendly and remembered us. The tables are spaced apart and there are some outside.
I came here for a drink after a day of work and to see how the spot was. It was about 4:30pm and the place was pretty empty, additionally they didn't have any happy hour specials! I was a little disappointed by that but the...bartenders were all very friendly. I got a gin and soda and it ended up being about $8 which was a little expensive for the size of the glass. However overall it was a nice setting.More
We've spent the past few days on property. The bartender I interacted with was a jerk (red jersey on Nov 2nd). But the waitresses were awesome and really accommodating for the family style event happening over the weekend. They took quite a bit of chaos...with an equal amount of patience and urgency. Literally rarely seen.
The food falls into the just ok variety. The whole property prices everything at 15-20 dollars per adult meal, this was no exception, (except for the nacho bar), but it is a resort property. They sometimes have a concession for kids customized for large events. Without that the whole property would have been rated far lower.
At the food price mentioned, I expect the food to be mid range, but they cut corners despite having the capability of doing better. The chicken taquitos looked good, and were well prepared, but then they drizzle nacho cheese on them. You can get a decent meal here if you have them put sauces and such on the side; it's a general theme throughout the property.. the amount of hollandaise on the eggs Benedict and BBQ sauce on amazingly prepared fish tacos was odd.
A few very slight adjustments could get the food to match the service in this bar and on property.More
Okay so Charlie's Long Bar is a fun place for drinks but the drinks are expensive with No Happy Hour. The food is just Okay so eat else where. And the service is slow so wear your patients. They do not do anything special so...no flights of beer/wine/bourbon. Just drinks at high prices in a hotel.More
