Had the fish and chips. Service was excellent. Fries were excellent. Had a side order of onion rings which were excellent. The fish was perfectly fried. Should have been a five star rating. However the fish batter was sweet - like funnel cake sweet.

The Finnan Haddie and creme brulee were out of this world. It was our first time having haddock and we were not disappointed. We revisited this restaurant multiple times and were never bored of the choices. The fall themed alcoholic beverages were yummy. The service...was always great!More

3 of the 4 of us didn’t finish our meals because we didn’t care for them. Ceasar salad dressing tasted like it came from a can. Haddock sandwich was bland. Hake fish came with a sweet sauce that just didn’t make sense with the dish...but I took it home to try again next day. Left the restaurant feeling ill after dinner. By the time I got home it was a bad case of the runs. I threw out the leftovers and added this place to my list of places never to return.More

We both got the seafood medly. The haddock, shrimp and scallops were so good. The risotto and lobster cakes had no flavor and were not worth extra money as a side. The only think I’ll say bad about the food is they put a pile...of crushed ritz crackers with butter on top of everything and it was not appealing at all. I would suggest requesting your meal without that.More

We didn't have a reservation in OCTOBER and thought we'd have to wait a while. Despite being busy, they seated us within 5 minutes! Not a wait at all, and we didn't feel rushed while eating, either. The food and atmosphere were great! We had...the salmon, chicken piccata, and swordfish special. The only disappointment was the "stir-fried vegetables" that came with the salmon - we expected a bit more than small pieces of carrots and cabbage. The reason why I knocked off a star: We went here for dinner because we heard that the ghost of Bridget Bishop haunted this joint, particularly at the top of the stairs. As soon as we walked in, we saw the stairs - and there was a hologram of her ghost at the top :/ I understand playing into the tourism industry, but it spoils the chance of any real sightings, which was a bummer for me personally lol.More

Meh. We loved the cool, historic building and the great location. Good service too. The food was just okay. We had the oysters Rockefeller which had way too much spinach and Mayo, a really good harvest salad with apples, beets and goat cheese and we...both had the shrimp scampi because our server highly recommended it. The shrimp were totally over cooked hard and had no seasoning or flavor of any kind. The pasta was cooked properly but, there was nothing much as far as a flavor profile, super basic. The fresh bread was good. The wine list was not very good with very limited options.More

A local therapist pointed these confused tourists in the right direction and recommended Turner's and one other place. First, the loaf of warm bread and butter as an appetizer and I scallops wrapped in bacon and hubbies ordered the fish and chips. All were so...good. We were seated immediately choosing to sit at the bar. Our server was also a manager; very attentive. Thanks for being the place we didn't know we were missing.More

Oh my gosh! So many wonderful things to say! We had a reservation at 6:00. Arrived a bit early and got seated quickly despite the line (make reservations!) outside. Service was prompt. Server was friendly. Atmosphere was quaint and cozy for such a large establishment....Amazing food! We all had lobster pie for an entree. Highly recommend. It was delish. Appetizers were delish too! Make this a stop on your trip to Salem. You won’t regret it!More

We made reservations for a Thursday in October and were seated right away, which was great. I ordered a drink and my friend got tea. Then we split fried clams and the seafood platter including shrimp, scallops, and halibut. The food was just okay. It...was good, but nothing special. To be honest, I've had better seafood in Dallas where I live. The food was definitely under seasoned. I would try other seafood restaurants in Salem.More

The food was absolute fantastic!! We were one of the last tables to be sat for the evening, but our waitress, Autumn, took care of us like we were her first of the night. We started off with the fishcakes and they were definitely the...best I've ever had. We also ordered the bread to share and although it says it can feed 2-4 people, we were 2 and it was a lot of bread. SO! If you're 2 and you order it, be hungry. The stuffed shrimp and the swordfish pasta special were to die for. We would happily come back and dine again!More

We made an online reservation earlier in the day. The host was not so nice about it as she insisted that wasn’t possible. She asked to see my email. I accidentally showed her the text from the company who does the reservations? She was pretty...snarky about it. I then found the email and she said something like “oh ok I guess you did make a reservation” (why would I lie about that?) and then with no apology told me I was too early. I told her I realized we were early, I was just checking in and we’d wait outside. She then said we didn’t need to wait outside, just come back at our reservation time. Not very nice at all. We were 20 minutes early and not expecting to be seated yet. We started to leave and she came outside to seat someone else and when that didn’t work out, she asked if we’d want to be seated early. It was very crowded (a good sign imho) and as we tried to follow her, a server with drinks was trying to come through so we stopped to let him through, then a bunch of people also walked through and the host very impatiently and loudly said “follow me please!” Just rude and self-absorbed. FORTUNATELY, our server Autumn more than made up for the first 10 minutes of our visit. She was friendly, helpful, and attentive. Our food was delicious.More
