I am my fiancé had dinner here, and we both enjoyed our meals. I had the lobster carbonara and he had the steak. We stayed in the Hawthorne hotel, where Nathaniel's is located, and received a free desert to share by showing our hotel key!

Great service, fresh food, good variety including vegetarian. We cleaned our plates both meals! Piano music one night with dinner was very pleasant. Great cocktails, too!

One of the best salmon dishes that I've ever had. Even the Brussel Sprouts were good (I'm not much of a vegetable eater). It's a bit pricey, but not really for a nice restaurant. $24 for a really good salmon dish is not unrealistic for that dish. Wine was good (Pinot Noir). Would definitely recommend to anyone staying at Hawthorne... More

November 1st. The Halloween season is now Officially closed, and the residences of Salem, MA can now relax and take great pride in knowing they've delivered another great Haunted Happenings, their month long Halloween Festival. November 1st. If you're scheduled to work a Sunday JAZZ BRUNCH, you still have to work. You still have to take care of your customers.... More

We had an excellent breakfast here, after a night in the Hawthorne Hotel. The pancakes were fluffy and--as you'd expect--the maple syrup was real!

Enjoyed the Jazz and the brunch! It's a fixed price brunch, and offers breakfast breads, entree and dessert. The dining room is beautiful, and the service was attentive. The Jazz band played a lot of the old standard, and was enjoyable but not intrusive. Food was very good.

We had breakfast here for two mornings while staying at the Hawthorne Hotel. Coffee and omlets were excellent and portions large enough to share for light breakfast eaters. Coffee kept coming, and the decor was pretty. Prices typical for an upscale hotel dining room. A convenient way to start the day!

Thought having breakfast in our hotel would be the best option for our first morning staying at the hotel. I only wanted a muffin and coffee however my husband ordered the full breakfast with no hash browns as he is allergic to onions. The breakfast took forever to arrive and when it finally did the hash browns were on the... More

Our first visit for breakfast and dinner was very nice! The staff was very welcoming. Our second day, the staff was slower. More focused on the next dining hour and how to place tables, silverware and napkins. very disappointed for the prices we paid.

Dear Sue N, Thank you for your feedback. Based on your comments, I have spoken to our dining services manager regarding resetting the room while diners are present, as it is indeed not very nice doing so with guests still being in the room. Best regards, Patrick Cornelissen General Manager More

We were staying at the Hawthorne Hotel which is where this restaurant is located. We ate breakfast here on three mornings. Their menu included everything that you could possibly want for breakfast. We sampled a number of different items and everything we ordered was very good. The service was good but they could have been more attentive at refilling the... More
