I had not visited Salem, MA for several years and was invited to a dinner there at Adriatic restaurant. There were nine in our group (three of whom were 13 year old boys) and we all thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service. The waiters were very helpful in providing information about the specials that evening and answering our questions.... More

Here I'm sitting in a local burger place as my disgusted wife just went back to our room. We try to visit many NewEngland towns and enjoy the local restaurants. Staying at at B and B in town, we took their advice and made reservations at Adriatic. We had a reservation at 730. After sitting at their bar for a... More

Saturday night dinner for two couples. 6:30 reservation, seated right away. Snowy Saturday evening, got a table next to the large glass doors overlooking Front Street. Perfect service, not rushed. Had the Filet Mignon, cooked dead on medium as requested. The other diners all enjoyed their meals. The meals were are very reasonably priced for a fancier restaurant. The Filet... More

On a windy and cold February evening, this spot warmed us up with the combination of delicious and interesting food, good wine well-priced, and lively but sophisticated atmosphere. We felt like we were in "THE" place to dine in Salem on that night. Everyone around us seemed happy too. Our waitress was professional and attentive, if a little impersonal (not... More

My husband and I came here for dinner after walking by and checking out the menu. It was a Monday night and we didn't have a reservation and had no trouble getting seated right away. We split the burrata appetizer, which was okay. The balsamic reduction overpowered the flavor of the burrata a bit too much. I got the eggplant... More

We had the pleasure of dining there during Salem Restaurant Week. All the food was breathtaking. I had the Eggplant Rollatini, followed by Seared Scallops with Saffron Risotto. For dessert I had the Goat Cheese Cheesecake. The mussels are also very good, as well as the Tuna Tartare, and the chicken. The Sancerre wine complemented the dishes very well.

So excited that The Adriatic took part in Salem's restaurant and wine week. We went out to dinner to celebrate a special occasion and to our delight they were participating in the food/wine week. $29 for an unbelievable 3 course dinner. The kids experienced fine dining and great service. The food was so incredible: presentation, taste, high quality. Worth coming... More

The menu they created for our group of 18 was diverse and met everyone's tastes and needs. Folks are still raving the presentation and the incredible tastes. Everything was perfect.

We were there on Halloween night in 2016. I had three Notch IPAs on tap (very good Autumn beer) and my wife had two Redeemer Whiskeys on the rocks. Both drinks were excellent. After drinking a bit and waiting for about 25-30 minutes (which is shockingly quick for Halloween in Salem in my opinion), we were seated and a DJ... More

We had a delicious dinner seated at one of the window tables, windows open, enjoying a pumpkin martini as we watched the people celebrating October in Salem go by! The pumpkin ravioli was delicious and clearly homemade. The munchkins are very tasty, a corn/lobster fritter with a delicious dipping aioli. The cod was moist but the salmon was well past... More
