Ordered a hamburger, fries, grilled cheese and mac & cheese. They were out of hamburgers and fries. So we ordered 2 hot dogs and onion rings. Food was good, but limited choices.

We saw this place and downloaded a Groupon, cheap eats! It was late on a Saturday evening when we arrived. The first three entrees we ordered were sold out. Eventually we found something they had. Our waiter sensed our disappointment and asked if we wanted to try a piece of the stripped sea bass he caught that morning. It was... More

THis is my favorite place to eat in Salem. It is a small charming bar/restaurant that is a favorite of both locals and tourists. Food is a notch above standard pub fare but not fancy. Drinks are served cold and quick THe staff is terrific. Many years ago I went for a casual Sunday brunch which was as good as... More

Wonderful lunch in an old 1800's building with a tin ceiling. As the name suggests, the meals are mainly made of pork. Loved the hot pretzels topped with pulled pork and cheddar cheese and the clam chowder. The atmosphere was so cool. I bet it's lots of fun at happy hour!

We walked into this restaurant after walking around the city for a bit. We hadn't been to Salem before and this place is near to the tourist trail. The food was not great and the kitchen left off ingredients. After asking about the missing ingredients, they apologized and said they "ran out". The fries were not fresh either. Overall, the... Saw this place reviewed and made a note when we were visiting as a place to try..,glad I did. Good food. Came in with family. Didn't realize it was a bar but it was quiet and they didn't mind the kids there so we stayed. Food was fresh and even my picky eater liked it. The staff was friendly to... More

A short walk on Derby street from the House of the Seven Gables. A friendly local pub, with great food, and attentive help. A casual place to grab a quick bite and a cold beer. The hamburgers are freshly made (no food service package frozen ones here) and cooked to your satisfaction. Their onion rings were probably the best I... More

We ate lunch here on our way to The House of the Seven Gables. Small pub with a cute chalkboard menu outside. The menu had something everyone liked, from my 86 year old mother in law to my 13 year old son. Nothing fancy, just a few tables and a bar. They had great music playing (Led Zepplin). I ordered... We ducked into this pub to escape a passing thunderstorm. Am I glad we did! The name attracted me, but the atmosphere was great and they have a nice selection of drink choices. Bar food is available as well. The bartender was friendly and made sure we were happy. They do have music on weekend nights.
