Now, let me just tell you that I have been a frequent customer of BBQ Ribhouse and I'm ashamed of having supported a business of such low caliber. Unfortunately, there are limited food choices to order from in Mount Vernon as far as standard bbq...fare goes. The food was usually ok and I didn't mind paying the delivery fee $3.99. There have been numerous times where I've placed an order from here and items were missing or the french fries were hard and not edible. I continued to support because, I like to support small businesses. I placed an order last night and the order never showed. This is not the first time however. I've placed orders in the past where orders didn't show or the restaurant canceled or some excuse they've offered. When I called in today, after ordering through grubhub (I decided to give them a chance), just to make sure they received my order because of last night's situation, a lady answered and she was nice and cordial and said she would let her supervisor know. I receive a call from a person by the name of MARCEL KONIG. Marcel called with a vengeance! Off the bat he was mean and angry with me for some unknown reason. I tell him about the non-delivery situation last night and he basically starts accusing me on the phone of this being the second time a driver came and no one answered at my residence. What a bold faced lie!! He then proceeds to threaten me, stating 'don't let this happen again.' Are you kidding me?! How dare you speak to me in that manner when you guys have done so much wrong over the past years, the times I've ordered. I could bring up all the times, I've had to cancel because they either never showed, or didn't get the order right!!!
Marcel was rude, inattentive and unable to listen and communicate in a professional manner. He is a deceitful liar. I have done nothing but support BBQ ribhouse through the years, and I mentioned this to Marcel. He seemed like he didn't care. Never once said, "you know ma'am thanks for supporting the business over the years. You've been a good customer of ours." No appreciation. He must not like money. Better yet, HE CAN'T POSSIBLY be the owner, talking like that to a customer!!!
I don't know what his position is but the owner had better hire someone else for his position before he messes up the business any further by speaking to a customer who has spent thousands of dollars and supported this business on a regular basis. Marcel states that the driver called and banged on the door and windows. I was up waiting for my order last night and no one ever rang the bell or knocked. I have security cameras as well, and it is confirmed, no one came. Even if a delivery person cannot reach a person over the phone, go ring the bell/knock the door and deliver the food. I knew Marcel was lying because the windows are not reachable by any one because the house in question is very high off the ground. The only thing you can do is walk up the stairs and ring the bell, which the delivery driver must have been TOO LAZY to do. Marcel is just unapologetically rude! Before he just offered an apology, and admit the truth that they never delivered my order, he creates lies and excuses and yells at me while I talk nicely to him.
Kristian Rizzo or whoever the owner is at this place, you need to go back to the drawing board. It is so wrong of you to have your workers talk to a frequent customer in such a manner. You need to school your workers on proper customer service protocol. TERRIBLE. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE, for the simple fact that they do not care about you as a customer. The food is sub-par. I BEG YOU RESIDENTS of Mount Vernon and Westchester, do NOT GO HERE. They aren't worth any of your dollars and coins! NOT ONE CENT!More
