Hands down the best pizza but hands down the worst waitress staff ever! I walked in and noticed two waitresses sitting and eating. The restaurant was packed with only one table available. I waited a moment to see if anyone else was there to ask...if I could sit at the one available table. I didn’t want to be rude bc it was made for 6 and I was just with my husband who was parking. I simply asked the two waitresses if I could sit there kindly. The older woman (slim with short gray hair) took her pizza and threw it down on her plate, gave me the nastiest look ever and pulled the table apart. The other waitress (50s with dark hair and some tattoos on her arms) who was sitting with her gave me such a look of disgust!!! I have never ever been treated like that by anyone … I was shocked! I was ready to leave but I wanted the pizza and wasn’t going to let these two miserable women ruin my plans! I told my husband who suggested we leave. He was then watching to see how they treated the other patrons. Of course everyone happened to be male and they were so pleasant to them. So disheartening as a female to be treated by other females like that none the less. No attitude with my husband either. Honestly, I have a highly stressful job myself and would never ever treat or speak to any human the way I was treated for no good reason. Do your job with pride regardless of what you do or do something else for heavens sake. Thank goodness Johnny’s has great pizza or else they would have received 0 stars based on my experience today.More

It was great 2 years ago. Not now. Pizza was very thin and hard. Very little mozzarella and pepperoni. We were extremely disappointed.

I have been wanting to try Johnny's for a long time based on some positive chatter I have seen online ... and they delivered big! I have lived in Westchester all of my life and have been searching for a close-to perfect pizza for a...long time. This was close to perfect. Thin crust, but not too thin. Well done, crisp. Sauce indescribable - delicious. Good balance between sweet and spicy. Good cheese, although if I had to find one fault, it could probably have used a bit more. But not short enough on cheese to take away from it being great pizza! Pepperoni excellent. Really nice and friendly people working there.More

I really really really wanted to love Johnnys. Unfortunately the pizza just isn’t that great. It’s good pizza but just nothing special. And I’ve tried them all. Johns of Bleecker in NYC is superior. Prince Street Pizza in NYC is superior. Nicks in Forest Hills...is superior. Tommy’s in the Bronx is superior. El Presidente scores this one way too high. It’s just not deserving of the hype. The sauce is chef Boyarrdee flavor. Again, I wanted to like this place so bad too but I just didn’t.More

Overcharged for cold food. I ordered one large pie, one chicken parm, one eggplant parm, one penne vodka with chicken, and one special house salad. This comes to maybe $70. When I got to the pickup area, the food was in a box waiting. I...came at exactly the time they told me to come (1 hour). Other than the pizza, all the other food was cold, and we had to microwave our dishes to eat them. Also, it was crazy crowded, and I could hardly speak to anyone. The lady handling take-outs asked me for $87. I handed her the cash, and got no itemized receipt. When I got home, I rechecked the menu against my ordered items, and, yea, about $70. OK, add something for Uncle Sam, still not $87. But with an all-cash system, and no receipts, how do you complain? And at that price, with cold food, I don't plan on coming back for takeout, or dine in.More

My mom and I have been coming here for quite some time and have always ordered their pizza and have 100% of the time enjoyed it. Tonight, January 9, 2020 will be our last time. We ordered a starter of green beans in a marinara...sauce and a large pizza for our entry. Pizza came, then half way through it, the green beans arrived. We refused it as it came too late and wasn't in marinara sauce but in garlic and oil. Waitress came back over to say that we had to take it or she will end up paying for it so we took it back. We decided to tell the owner (woman) it wasn't what we ordered and it came after the entree. She became indignant, rude and arrogant and I told her she wasn't a very nice person. She then said she can do whatever she wants and screamed quite loud to never come back. I threw the cash in her direction, she screamed "police, police, call the police, she slapped me!" Five of their pie makers followed us out, across the street, my 80-year-old mother and I, telling us the cops are coming while blocking our car, all five of their pie makers, what a spectacle!! Their video of the encounter was viewed showing no such physical contact. My mother and l were told by the three police officers they were expecting a couple of hoodlums as they peered into our car window with their bright flashlights! We asked the three police officers "now what?" Nothing was the answer, we didn't do anything wrong. In all the years we've been patronizing this restaurant, (and I am sure they should recognize us by now), I have never been treated with such disrespect in any food establishment until tonight. This woman is 100% of the time unfriendly along with the waitstaff, and has been since day one, but their great tasting pizza was the only thing that kept us coming back over and over. As of tonight, we're done with Johnny's forever.More

Excellent, a must try. It's a tradition to experience a true Italian restaurant noted for the best Pizza in all NY. Note the history, family owners since the '40s, and go for the thin Pizza and friendship afforded to all.

This was the first time my family and I visited Johnny's. The entrance is off Lincoln Avenue towards the back of the small parking lot on the right hand side of the lot. We enjoyed both their signature pizza as well as other dishes. Service...was attentive and our experience very enjoyable. We attempted to return on a subsequent Sunday only to discover they are closed Sundays and Mondays. However, we will return again! They only accept cash, but do have an ATM on site. Also had seen a very positive review on TV about this business which has been around for many decades!More

I've had Pizza in over 20 countries, including Italy as also in 30 different US States. Many Pizza Places have fresh high quality toppings but what makes Johnny's stand out is their thin crust. I had both, their regular pie as also their Grandma Pie...and they are absolute Pizza perfection. You can hold your slice and it barely bends down at the other end.. Slightly burnt in sports just like it should be. Every time I'm up in the NY area, Johnny's is a must stop places.. Only down side is that due to their popularity, there is often significant wait times on Friday and Saturday evening..More

Friends recommended the pizzeria and we indulged. On a Saturday night, with scarce parking and a small wait (35mins.), compared to others with much longer waits, the thin crust was so wonderful, I anxiously await a return trip. We kept it simple with a family-style...Italian salad and two small pies (one plain, one sausage). The meal was delectable with a carafe of the house burgundy.More

I finally succumbed to eating here after hearing so many great things about this pizza. I found the pizza to be average and service to be embarrassing for such a highly spoken of joint. -The Pizza has little to no cheese, and they bathe the...pizza in sauce, which I found to be gross. -Service is terrible. We waited over an hour for a pie, which, for a Friday we did expect a wait, but not that extreme, **for a pizza place** -"Restaurant" is tiny. Little standing room and on a Friday, it is very crowded and chaotic. I will not be recommending this place.More

Johnny's is an old-time pizza shop (only cash). The thin-crust, oven baked pizza is the best in the area. Parking is not easy, but the pizza is worth the trip.

I read the reviews and felt compelled to visit. Service - Mike was friendly enough but once the order was taken you had to flag someone down if you needed anything - and that wasn't easy because the waitresses would not make eye contact with...anyone. Pizza - definitely thin - but super skimpy with the toppings - only a little sauce and absolutely minimal cheese. I ordered with sausage slices and they were paper thin - I couldn't even taste them. The first hot slice was good,- after that the minimal cheese got cold and it tasted only of the crust. Now the part that will prevent me from ever coming back - we ordered one special house salad for $6 - turns out that's per person! The menu doesn't say anything about per person - quite a bad surprise - I felt cheated. Won't be back.More
