Great food and good price!!

Great food, good service, and fair prices. Ordinarily great breakfast spots don’t offer much on their lunch menu and most aren’t open for dinner. Grumpy is the rare exception and has a great lunch and dinner menu.

You Have to Try This!!!!!

So, Mom and I have been coming to Grumpy's now for about the last 9 or 10 months. We always come for lunch, which is always great. I wanted to try out their breakfast menu, so off we went this morning in search of something eggy.... Hello, Coyote Breakfast Burrito!!!!! Sounds simple enough: 2 eggs, home fries, cheese, w/ bacon, sausage or ham smothered w/ homemade green chili. We opted for sausage on the side as I am not much of a fan of meat in this type of dish. Well, when they say smothered, they mean SMOTHERED!!!!! Tons of awesome green chili and cheese. There was also enough cheese inside this thing that I was truly satisfied! Couldn't get enough of it! It is now may new favorite! You just have to try it! Oh, and the chili was not too spicy for us - we are the original wimpy wimps when it comes to spicy, but they did serve it with a chaser of salsa in case you need a little kick.

Grumpy was not in the House!

Saturday morning about 8:30, arrived, seated ourselves, two happy servers attended to us quickly, brought our coffee and menus. Lots of interesting choices of which I had the Coyote Breakfast Burrito a great choice with 3 meats, potato, cheese and green chili, which added a bit of heat, but very subtle. My wife had the veggie omelette. Coffee was never ending. Later in the day this turns into more of a sports bar, so the TV's were showing them. I imagine it would be great for lunch or dinner, but we've only been here for breakfast. It will remain on our regular breakfast rotation. Who knows, maybe Grumpy shows up around closing, but I will never know.

What happened?

My family and I have been into this restaurant several times and normally we enjoy it and have no issues. But this week we were there and my husband ordered what was on the lunch special as chili mac. What he got was cold spaghetti noodles with about a cup of chili on top no cheese it definitely was not chili mac it was some kind of cold spaghetti chili mixture that at the bottom of the plate was nothing but Brown water we didn't complain because I spilled my drink and the servers were very nice about it and the service is very good but the food both my husband's and myself was horrible and now we just want to know what happened to this place because we used to love it and depend on it

Never Disappointed

We have been here several times, breakfast lunch and dinner and tried many different meals. All have been great. The sides here are very generous. If you choose a meal that has sides, be sure to get the chili verde. You will love it. Was recently there on a Saturday night and one of the specials was prime rib. Though I have never tried it, it must be good. I heard the waitress say that they were about to run out and it was only about 5:30-6:00! FYI, can get busy really quick as it is not that big of a restaurant.

First cold burger I've ever had

Maybe I tried this place on an off day, but it wasn't too good. Ordered a simple burger and fries it came out cold when served. Bun was cold, burger was cold. Not for sure how they pulled that off, but they did. Give it a try and let us know.

A hidden gem

Found this on my phone when searching for a new restaurant to have lunch. So, so happy we found this place. My husband had the Reuben sandwich, he was very happy with it. Very good. I had the Steak finger basket, I did not want B'B'Q dipping sauce so I saw they had sausage cream gravy on their chicken fried steak. I asked if I could have that instead. Renee said sure. I must say that it had to be the best sausage gravy I have had since Texas. We will certainly return. The have a large menu. Good alcoholic drinks also.

Grumpy's Great for take out too.

We usually visit Grumpy's for happy hour but that is not possible with Covid-19 problems, but found they were still doing call in orders. Called the order in they gave a estimate time for pickup and boy that was spot on. We drove up ran in, picked up the order when home locked the doors, We did not not want the neighbors to know we had Grumpy's. We need to realize that in these trying times we need to support our local business, they are hardest hit by us staying home, Please support Grumpy's because we want it to succeed when life returns to normal.

Great food and good prices as well as friendly service.

A very unassuming spot in a strip mall with amazing food. I got the open faced chili cheese burger and it was so good had to eat the whole thing, which I rarely do. You can tell the chili is homemade. And the chili covered most of the plate.

Perfect breakfast spot. Huge portions. Excellent preparation. Chili cheese omelette cooked perfectly. Great homemade chili. Very good flavor in the coffee. Wife had the green chili plate which was likewise delicious with perfect execution on the eggs. This is a great find. Attentive friendly service. Reasonably priced.

Grumpys Grill is the local place to be!

I just moved to Tucson from Upstate NY, my daughter & I were looking for a locally owed place to eat & she found Grumpys. We went in & immediately felt the casual atmosphere, & super-cute inside. We were immediately greeted. The server came over, super-friendly & the food was great. We even bought Grumpy T-shirts. I love supporting local business & just found my favorite go-to restaurant. It's refreshing to see great prices as well. Support Local! I was able to meet one of the owners, Lorrie & she's great! I highly recommend Grumpys of Tucson!

We went here with our friends for dinner. We went early and the service was fast and the food delicious. I had the mushroom chicken dinner and it was fantastic. Had a great flavor, lots of mushrooms and cheese on top. The others has the shrimp dinner and they got a nice size helping of shrimp. All said the shrimp were very tasty. The waitress was very attentive and friendly. I would definitely go back.

We went there for an early supper and had burgers and wings with fries. From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed. From the first bite to the last piece we weren't disappointed. The staff were so friendly and we felt valued. The burgers were the best we have had in Tucson and we have tried quite a few places. Definitely a place one should stop in if you want a meal that won't disappoint you.

Our “go to” in this area!

We’re in this area every couple of months and had not found a “go to” place until now. Seemed like a locals kinda place with a large menu and above average food and great service. Will definitely go back, all four of us were happy with our food. The app on my phone did show it was on the opposite side of the street?
