Looking for some non touristy new Mexico dishes head on down to this eatery. Its a 15 minutes drive down 22nd Street to Poco & Mom small but fantastic eatery. Christmas tree dishes with some of the most spirited green chilies sause this side of Arizona. Every thing made from scratch including there unadulterated chilies rellenos...there killer. Sopapillas oh my!!!!

I heard about Poco & Mom's years ago when I googled "best mexican food tucson." We'd fly in once a year, collect our rental car, and head off to our divine bed-and-breakfast, Azure Gate, down Kolb, through the military aircraft boneyards. And we'd always spot Poco & Mom's. And it was always closed. The OTHER location, at 7000 E Tanque... More

Great small breakfast hole in the wall find. Green chili sauce was a little on the hot side for me, so I probably should have gone with the red sauce on my chili renellno. Not a huge amount of food, but enough for us for breakfast, great service and a number of good looking choices.

I had to wait for 20 minutes for a table on my first visit. The first bite in to my food and I knew why. Lot of good food bursting with flavor. There are many locations but this one is the best. Now sure why but it is. Service is okay and the last time I was hear I washed... More

Wish they were more certain about gluten free options. At least the green chili was gluten free. Enjoyed the blue firm tortillas.

My wife is from Las Cruces, fantastic cook...PocoMoms rivals her best but I don't have to wash the dishes. Every meal, breakfast, lunch, and dinner...Fantastic. I don't like this one closes at 2 now, but go to new Poco on Tanque Verde, same food, and a bar! Take home some Hatch green chile in a jar.

We go to Poco & Mom's every chance we get. The New Mexici cuisine is fabulous! I recommend the Combo plate for only $12.95. You'll get your voice of a shredded beef, or chicken or red pork (my favorite), a Chili Cheese Arellano, an Enchilada with your choice of meat, rice and the best re fried beans ever....and I don't... Saw the restaurant while driving and decided to give it a try. It looked good from outside. Turned out to be tiny inside. Dark, rickety tables with plastic hotdog stand looking table cloth. That would be fine IF the food was good. Supposedly famous for their enchilada sauce and I love enchiladas. The red sauce tasted like someone had accidentally... More

Went to the Cantina on Tanque Verde after a Mt.Lemmon hike.Breakfast all day is a big draw.Hubs had breakfast skillet and really enjoyed it.I enjoyed my insanely spicy Mexican flag style enchiladas. You can choose different sauces and fillings. We ate out back in the patio by a fountain.Relaxing and refreshing.Highly recommend apres hiking.

Was expecting a more traditional southwest flair to the food in this Mexican restaurant. Food was somewhat bland--unusual for Mexican cuisine. I had a tamale dish and they looked and tasted like frozen reheated tamales. The corn casings were dry to the look and taste. The salsa was about the only thing that was flavorful. Service was good. It seems... More
