My wife is from Las Cruces, fantastic cook...PocoMoms rivals her best but I don't have to wash the dishes. Every meal, breakfast, lunch, and dinner...Fantastic. I don't like this one closes at 2 now, but go to new Poco on Tanque Verde, same food, and a bar! Take home some Hatch green chile in a jar.

We go to Poco & Mom's every chance we get. The New Mexici cuisine is fabulous! I recommend the Combo plate for only $12.95. You'll get your voice of a shredded beef, or chicken or red pork (my favorite), a Chili Cheese Arellano, an Enchilada with your choice of meat, rice and the best re fried beans ever....and I don't... Saw the restaurant while driving and decided to give it a try. It looked good from outside. Turned out to be tiny inside. Dark, rickety tables with plastic hotdog stand looking table cloth. That would be fine IF the food was good. Supposedly famous for their enchilada sauce and I love enchiladas. The red sauce tasted like someone had accidentally... More

Went to the Cantina on Tanque Verde after a Mt.Lemmon hike.Breakfast all day is a big draw.Hubs had breakfast skillet and really enjoyed it.I enjoyed my insanely spicy Mexican flag style enchiladas. You can choose different sauces and fillings. We ate out back in the patio by a fountain.Relaxing and refreshing.Highly recommend apres hiking.

Was expecting a more traditional southwest flair to the food in this Mexican restaurant. Food was somewhat bland--unusual for Mexican cuisine. I had a tamale dish and they looked and tasted like frozen reheated tamales. The corn casings were dry to the look and taste. The salsa was about the only thing that was flavorful. Service was good. It seems... More

I've heard and read so much about this place - all glowing, I tried to visit the "original" but it was closed. We ate at the "fancier" site. I ordered the chike relleno with green chile cream sauce and was not disappointed. The beans were also good as was the salsa. I wasn't fond of the rice, but I will... More

We have eaten at Poco and Mom's several times while visiting family in Tucson. We have always had friendly, courteous service. The food is good, the service is always friendly - and it's always full of customers! I recently tried the Machaca in a Chimichanga and it was much tastier that I even expected!

Their larger restaurant on Tanque Verde offers both a lovely patio setting as well as wonderful food! Unique in that they cook Mexican food in the New Mexico style with both green and red Hatch chili's. The food is very fresh and you can request the degree of 'hotness'. Food presentation and server service is very good. If you appreciate... More

I used to live in Tucson and whenever I come back, I make it a point to eat at this tiny, hole in the wall restaurant. Parking is close and sufficient. Just walk in and grab a table. Super fast and friendly service will fetch you your drink of choice along with chips and really tasty salsa. My favorite dish... More
