We went here years and years ago. It sounds just the same. One of the reviewers crabbed about toilets and updating. Oh Please, Pendejo. The place is a gem, it's solid, it's authentic. We didn't go there for ambience. The food was good. I've never had breakfast there, but I must go now that I read one of the reviews.... More

I was last here many many many years ago, when I was poor and couldn't afford to go on my own. I thought the food was absolutely delicious. We just returned by chance recently. We were riding in Cyclovia Tucson and stopped to eat at Mi Nidito nearby, but there was a long wait, so we crossed the street to... More

Nailbanger Here Again: This is the setting, Friday Evening Dinner Hour, We walk in and there is not a Soul in the place seated for a meal.I finally found someone back in the Bar area, and he said he would be right there, and he did exactly that.He was an extremely friendly Server, and did an excellent job waiting on... I began eating here infrequently about fifteen years ago and always liked it. But, I have never figured out what keeps the place going as it is very large but never very many people there when we go for dinner. Maybe it is the lunch buffet, which I have never tried. Our last visit was a couple of months ago... More

Amazingly good chimichangas in the land of Mexican food, Tucson, AZ. This is their signature dish. Take a chance if you have not had one. No super hot surprises.

The food was cold and old. There was nothing I liked. The restaurant was cold as well and dark. Worst place in South Tucson.

El Dorado has a good buffet and usually no wait. I would personally not make a trip to eat here but when you are in the neighborhood its okay. Friendly staff and clean place. Fast service whenever Ive stopped in.

An easily overlooked mexican restaurant nestled in a neighborhood near 4th and 29th streets. Every time we're in Tucson we make a point of stopping in here for a home cooked - like meal. The general Mexican fare but the smells and overall atmosphere makes you think you are in Mexico. Great tasting food served by pleasant wait staff. My... More

My brother and I have been going to El Dorado for as long as we can remember, since at least the late 1970s. I live away from Tucson now and have faithfully made it a part of my annual return to Tucson each year - practically a pilgrimage. We eyed the building changes and addition of a buffet over the... This is real authentic Mexican food. The restaurant isn't fancy and caters more to locals than tourists. The food was wonderful. Margaritas are $.99 during Happy Hour and really good. The service was fast. Our total bill for 6 people (2 kids) was $58.00.
