Great place for lunch, kinda off the beaten path. Good food, fun decor, and nestled among several artisan shops. What’s not to like?

We ate here 3 days in a row and it was a highlight for us! Especially loved the black beans. Highly recommend this place.
Apparently a popular stop. Service was a bit slow, but the food was good. Outside the restaurant were a number of shops to enjoy browsing through.
Looking around at various places in that area (after an unhappy experience eating at Casino del Sol the night before, we were absolutely not going to have breakfast there), we trusted our GPS and turned up at Coyote Pause Cafe. Oh, my! How lucky can...one get? The Huevos Rancheros were wonderful and I was impressed by the addition on the menu of more than one level of eggs cooked over easy (someone in the kitchen knows how to pay attention to eggs). The service was cheery and candid. We found the entire staff very friendly, efficient, and welcoming. We particularly enjoyed the decor on the (enclosed) patio, the Arizona Room. The shops in the small plaza located around the cafe were also fun. We stopped here on our way to the Desert Museum in the Saguaro National Park, and it proved to be a very convenient stop.More
We ate at this spot 3 times during our stay in Tucson. Partially because it was close to where we stayed, and it was good. The 1st visit was probably the best as service was top notch and was quick and delicious. The 2nd visit,...the service was a little slower. The 3rd visit we sat for 10 min. before anyone waited on us. After the initial contact though, service was great and the waitress was the friendliest of all. The food was hot and good. I would highly recommend the French toast. It was scrumptious!More
This is a little hidden gem on the west side of Tucson. Conveniently located on the way to several area attractions, you can stop for breakfast or lunch on your way to the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, Saguaro National Park - West or Old Tucson Studios....Or you can just enjoy a beautiful drive and enjoy a meal here. The food is delicious, service was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals.More
My daughter and I stopped here for breakfast before a morning visit to the Desert Museum. What a find! The menu is very tempting - I chose a Cat Mountain omelette. Very good. Fresh, tasty food, good coffee, friendly service.
Went here for breakfast on a weekend in Tucson, and everything was excellent. Food, service, ambiance, the whole package. Would DEFINITELY go back!
We have eaten here before but never for breakfast so we decided to try it. I had scrambled eggs with yummy stuff in it - like nopales, and chilies, and cheese! It came with a choice of sides and I picked the potatoes and a...biscuit. My husband had the corn beef hash which he enjoyed. The servings were not huge but plenty to eat and you can choose how many eggs. you want. There were lots of choices and we look forward to returning and trying a few other things.More
Was in town visiting family. We stopped for breakfast, and went back for lunch later in the week. Both times had excellent, super friendly servers, and wonderful food. I had the Cat Mountain omelette, which was one of the best omelettes I have ever had....For lunch the Tucson Tacos were incredible. And the rice and beans had real flavor, not plain tasting as so many places have. And I loved how every table had a different oil cloth table covering. That really added to the charm of the cafe.More
