Upon entering, I noticed the beautiful decor, book shelf with books to enjoy, and extremely polite staff, then ordered a great veggie lunch and had some refreshing coffee. 100% recommend this place and will be back when in Tucson.

As a 40-year vegetarian, I really, really wanted to like the Lovin' Spoonfuls, not only for the healthy food options but for the philosophy behind those options. Alas, our first trip was not as we expected. After placing our orders, we found a table and sat down. And we sat. And sat. And sat some more. About an hour later,... More

Imagine a diner where they only served vegetarian comfort food (plus a good dose of healthy items). That's what this place is like. We wanted a healthy lunch and found this place on TA. We were impressed with the large menu and the prices were pretty good. The food was very good although their bacon cheese burger was on the... More

This small restaurant is one in which you place your order at the counter and then sit at a table and the food is brought to you . We ate here on a Friday night. When it was our turn to finally order , the cashier took two phone orders instead of placing the calls on hold or handing the... More

I just tried this restaurant for the second time. The first time was very bad but it was over a year ago so I thought I'd give it another try.... I had the kale quinoa curry- it's a lot of potatoes and quinoa but little of anything else- there was no pine nuts, maybe 3 kale leaves and a two... More

As a vegan I rarely find restaurants that are completely plant based. I was very surprised when we found this place AND it was super busy. Good to see people eating healthy. The owner was very nice and the staff was great. I had the Wildcat burger and it was delicious. My husband had the route 66 and he loved... More

My friend who lives in Tucson took me to Lovin' Spoonfuls for lunch. I had the falafel burger with a side salad. It was excellent. The falafel burger was just right, not too dry and not too spicy. Great lunch. Wish I had more time to try other items on the menu. The menu is huge!

Being new to Tucson we have been keeping a running list of the vegan places we want to try that we have found via the Happy Cow app. This place has a lot of great offerings. We were excited to try the vegan shrimp and they did not disappoint. We also appreaciated the cauliflower "wings." We were happy with our... More

I, personally, value 'truth in advertising', and so, my main complaint about Lovin' Spoonfuls is that, quite misleadingly, it persists in advertising itself as "vegetarian". Vegetarian it is, decidedly not. They use no butter, no cream, nothing from animals, at all. And so, their 'Apple Betty' desert for Thanksgiving was little more than a baked apple with raisins and oats... More

We had lunch here twice and enjoyed it very much. I'm not a vegetarian but I'm interested in healthy food, and if I lived in Tucson, I'd be a regular. The first time, I did their "build your own burger." I chose a falafel burger on pita bread, with raw spinach, grilled mushrooms. and grilled onions, and the cilantro mayonnaise.... More
