Before COVID I felt Firebirds had the best Prime Rib in Tucson....The last 4 times we were there I could not get it. The first time they ran out at 6:30 PM, the next time they only had one 12 oz. piece left, the next...time they ran out again and the last time all they had was medium-well ....What a joke, we really like this place but might not be back, and their cocktails are extremely expensive.... Sorry for the lousy review but the so called management should be aware...More

Our group of 5 came here for lunch to celebrate a friend's birthday. I had the salad with salmon and it was really good. The dressing is light and refreshing and the salmon was cooked perfectly. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Service was good. I would...go back again. A few in our party had been here multiple times in the past and said it is one of their favorite restaurants.More

My husband and I were visiting Tucson to celebrate our wedding anniversary. So glad we found this place. The waitstaff (especially Eddie) were so friendly and attentive. Our meals of Filet Mignon and Woodfired Salmon were amazing. I would highly recommend.

As we arrived at our table - barely seconds into sitting, Caitlin (server) came to ask what we wanted to drink - we had just gotten our menus and asked for some time to decide on a bottle of wine. Minutes later she's back so...we ordered our wine and then she asked if we were ready to order - again minutes into sitting down. We got our bottle of wine 10 minutes later and we ordered our meals. We were clearly through maybe half of our meals and Caitlin came by to ask if she could take our plates - what??? We explained that we were still eating and she then asked if we were going to want dessert. We again asked for a few minutes to decide until we were finished with our meals. She continually interrupted our conversations throughout the meal. We had hoped for a leisurely dinner after a rough week and instead, thanks to Caitlin, this did not happen. Go elsewhere, there are too many other restaurants with courteous servers. Caitlin needs some work on her customer service and server skills.More

I ordered a curbside takeout of the family ribs meal. The order was ready and hot. We ordered last summer during the height of covid and really enjoyed. Tonight we changed it up and got the mixed green salad and cider slaw with the delicious...baby back ribs. I have a tree nut allergy and a severe lactose problem. Unless you go to the individual food item menu, you do not know that there are pecans on the mixed green salad or that the cider slaw has a creamy dressing. It was my problem that I didn’t investigate more. But, when I called and the person who answered said she would get the manager because she didn’t know about ingredients, I should not have had to be on hold for 8 minutes and for her to come back on 2 times thinking I was someone else. The lack of care was probably more troublesome. Then there were other people at the desk that didn’t know about the menu items either. Just beware if you have food allergies or intolerances. The ribs were delicious!More

Closure to my vacation- awful dinner. Had filet mignon, tasteless. Ordered 6 grilled shrimp- so small- salty to high heaven. Ordered brandy peppercorn sauce for filet- they charge extra for that - and it also was SOO salty...Very disappointed. Would never eat here again. Very...poor quality foodMore

1.0 star rating1/31/2021 This is normally one of our favorites but even if it is chalked up to them having a bad day I fell it deserves comment. We placed a rather large order for takeout last night. We I collected it at the appropriate...time I was given one bag. Asked if it was the entire order, and was told yes. I wasnt thinking as I had a lot on my mine. When I arrived home. I discovered that I had about one half of my order. I called and a young man said that yes, the other half was still there. I was about 20 minutes away, and I asked fo they could ensure the food was kept warm until I got there, he said "I will see what I can do". When I arrived to collect the second half I stood at the check in point for about another 20 minutes. A gentleman in front of us was having some difficulties and did not receive all that he had ordered. The lady responsible the take out orders went back to the kitchen to retrieve his food, and apparently stood back there for the entire time the food was being prepared. In the meantime, the collection point is immediately in from of the check in desk for the restaurant, There were three people manning that desk. NOT ONE came to ask if they could help[ (turns out the second bag was still there in the original spot and one of them could have discovered that (including the young man that would see what he could do and told me on the phone that he had seen the bag). The attitude was seemingly, "not my department". So after 20 minutes the young woman in charge of the take out desk returned, dispensed with the customer in front is us, recognized me, brought the bag over and handed it to me without eye contact and not one word of apology. Throughout this ordeal, there was no sign of management. In these Covid times, what has kept many restaurants going is take out orders. With this kind of management that may soon loose a significant chunk of this business. I ask again, where is the management?More

For a finer dining establishment Firebirds lacks the attention to detail that you get at other restaurants or steakhouses in the area. The food is fine, but not excellent in any area. I noticed a lot of the staff watching tv and socializing a lot....I guess that vibe takes away from the dining experience for me. That being said, they have many different options on the menu. I’ve eaten hear several times and just wish it was a run a little tighter with food and service for the price range they are in.More

We dined here at this Tucson location for New Years Eve dinner, family of 6 mostly teenagers (4), with 1 vegetarian. We made reservation a day in advance and got a call from the restaurant to confirm the day of reservation. Our Group had a...little bit of everything on the menu and I sampled most everything. Appetizer: Garlic ranch onion Rings, seared Ahi Tuna mustard and clam chowder soup (we shared soup as a appetizer- honestly best I've ever had and Ahi was SO good everyone wanted more - amazing!!). Entrees: Aged Rib eye, Salmon with scalloped potatoes, Pineapple kabob Chicken, Cilantro grilled Chicken, Filet Mignon and shrimp (surf and turf). Desserts: Chocolate brownie, Carrot cake, and Crème Brule Cheesecake. Everything was AMAZING and for an unknown for new years night from us from out of town this place hit it out of the park. Sometimes you get a few good dishes, some bad, but all of ours LOVED this place (reason why I write this review). Service was Amazing, Food was Amazing, Atmosphere was perfect. For a crazy night (we could see the kitchen from the table), Well Done guys! We will be back when we are in town next time we are that way. Dress said smart casual on the website and we did dress up a bit for our new years evening but we would have been fine with normal attire.More
