My boss got food from the one on thornydale. I got the chicken cheese steak. And fries. The best ever. Even though I got it 30 mins. Later. Yummy. I shared it with coworker cuz it was so much. They loved it as well.

Not as expected. Ordered a Chicago Dog for the wife and an Italian beef for myself. Hers was ok, hard to mess up a hotdog unless they offer you catchup. Mine? Ordered not to wet with gardinara peppers. Right not to wet. Nothing and no...peppers. Beef was totally bland with no flavor. If you are going to offer Chicago food. Try going there and seeing what the real thing is. Not phony Tucson crap.More

Simple place, sandwich, type fare.. Excellent food. Serving size appropriate. I could not finish the double sausage. Saved one for breakfast. Wife enjoyed the meatballs. Fast food type tables. Counter service. Very reasonable prices.

I have lived in Chicago and my wife is from Arlington Heights (IL) and we LOVE Chicago dogs, Italian Beef and Italian sausage. Living in Tucson THE place to go is Luke’s on -Alvernon (just south of 22nd St). It’s fast, it’s great, it a...good price. Get it with the hot peppers as it’s the best! Talk to Luke (the man) or Patty (the wo-man) as they own and run the joint. I go weekly because it’s the best and I even buy the hot Giardiniera pepper stuff to take home! Go. You will thank me later! VictorBMore

We went for the Italian beef and, while it's no Portillo's, the sandwich was very good. Ambiance...well, we went for the Italian beef. Enjoyment of the lunch, if dining in, can be affected one way or another by odd dining room TV choice. Fox News...take...it or leave it.More

After moving to Tucson area from Wisconsin, we were very pleasantly surprised to find Chicago style sandwiches so close to home. This is my all time favorite place to eat...even after being out here 15 years. There is no comparison! I must admit, my hubby...and I are both partial to their Ribeye steak sandwich. Since our second visit there ever, we ALWAYS split the order of fries as they are huge! This is also our favorite place to take out of town guests. It's a pleasant surprise.More

Went to Lukes. Inside not all that clean. Sandwich didn't taste just right. Meat on Italian beef was dry, bread stale tasting. Being curious, I looked up their last inspection. Pima county's last inspection was in 2000 and recorded as "pass" which is given after...a failed inspection. Why Pima county hasn't conducted another inspection is concerning, but that's another subject. I will not be returning. Also, older man at the counter seems to not like his job and customers walking in to order anything. Not respectful to customers or other people he's ordering around.More

Luke has several locations around the Tucson area but I patronize this one as Luke is there 6 days a week. He and his wife Patty always make me feel like family. His sandwiches are the real deal, delicious. If you should see fire trucks,...ambulances or police cars in the parking lot don't worry, all the cops anf fire fighters eat here.More
