Lukes is just about the best Italian sandwich shop this side of Chicago. They use legendary Vienna meat products flown in from the windy city. Go there hungry, as the portions are huge and just delicious. Our hosts, Luke and his lovely bride are a gracious couple. Always with a smile and handshake and a "Glad to see ya". If... More

The Chicago dog with fries and the pastrami sandwich were our choices and they were very good. The service at the ordering counter is quick and efficient. The portions were big and the roll for the pastrami was substantial and held the juices without falling apart.

I'm originally from the Chicago land area. Love great Itailian meatball and Itailian beef sandwiches. Luke's has the best I have had since leaving Illinois 20+ years ago. My mother in-law enjoyed her Chicago styled hot dog! She grew up on Addison St. in Chicago. I would highly recommend Luke's for a little Chicago in Tucson!

This is one of the best places that I have ever eaten at. The food is unbelievable! You definitely need to stop in if you are visiting Tucson! It is a little hole in the wall joint with tons of character.

I first went to Luke's expecting a wanna-be Chicago Style Food place, when I stepped into the restaurant and smelled the food cooking I was impressed. But how is the taste, well I ordered a Italian Beef Sandwich with Hot Peppers/Sweet Peppers and extra juicy(Which is what most people from Chicago order extra juicy or dip-it). After my first bite,... More

My husband has been a huge fan of Luke's Italian Beef for years. We went today to sample the cuisine. Luke's is a true dive, is full of police officers and happy patrons. I can see why. I had to laugh at the T Shirt Luke the owner had on which had the Luke's logo on front and on back... More

Luke is always there to great and take your order. We are from Chicago and this is the first Real Chicago roast beef sandwiches we have found! Love them! The Chicago pictures remind me of home. Glad I have a send ones home in AZ!

Been a customer of Luke's for over 30 yrs, since they were located on 29th St. east of Alvernon, now located on Alvernon, just north of 29th St. They make the best Italian beef sandwich in Tucson. There are other Luke's, but this one is the best. I've heard they have a great meatball sandwich and great Chicago dog. The... More

Just got back from a golfing trip to Tucson. On the way from the airport to our condo we stumbled upon Lukes. There were a group of police officers having lunch on the picnic tables in front of the restaurant. That was enough to tell us to stop and eat. And we did and the beef sandwiches and fries were... While the outside of Luke's is not very inviting and the inside could use a facelift, we loved the ribeye with onions, mushrooms, melted cheese and au jus. We, actually, went back twice and ordered the same sandwiches. It wouldn't take much to make the place more inviting. We had purchased a Groupon coupon or we probably would never have... More
