BK serves outstanding Mexican food. This is the first time I had a Sonoran hotdog, it was unique and delicious hotdog. The guacamole served at this restaurant is outstanding, as well as the tacos. They have a salsa bar with many salsa choices and condiments,...the salsa bar added more flavor to the already amazing meal. The combination plate allows you to select a choice of drinks, I recommend the Horchata. If you enjoy Mexican Food you will love this restaurant.More

My host was driving us around, showing me some of the sights in Tucson. He asked if I liked hot dogs. To which I gave an affirmative reply. He then asked if I’d ever had a Sonoran Dog, Told him I’d never even heard of...one. So off we went to BK Carne Asada and Hot Dogs. I ordered the Sonoran Hor Dog. What a treat! Messy but a tasty treat. My first bu hopefully not my last.More

3 tacos and soup $25. Soup was too salty, tortillas for the tacos were tiny and cold (fell apart when we started eating them). The meat we had, carne and adodada, was plentiful, but seemed like it had been precooked much earlier and barely warmed...up. No fixing like cilantro or onions were added. The best thing we found was the salsa bar. It was loaded with options to add to your food.More

Beware of the prices! The food is good, the service is great, the restaurant is clean and welcoming. But, in my opinion not worth the prices. This is a taco place after all, not much better than others, but highly overpriced. One carne asada burro...is $15. One caramelo is $9. Dinner for two turned out to be $62. Too much for a taco meal. See the receipt I uploaded for reference.More

I entered and requested to sit on the porch and waitress gave me a menu, showed me the way, asked if I wanted a drink. She brought my iced tea very quickly and took my order. Iwas surprised my order came so quickly since the...place was fairly busy. Three tacos...carna asada, shredded beef and chicken, and inside you can choose from about 20 toppings/sauces. All the tacos were good, I liked the shredded beef the best. Waitress checked on me to see if all was ok. So... good food, attentive service. All ok with me.More

We travel to the Southwest every year on vacation. After reading the reviews, we decided to try this place and are so glad we did. The food is outstanding! The guacamole is so flavorful, and the Sonoran hot dog, especially the bolillo roll, is so...fresh. Great salsa bar, too. My husband choose the carne asada tacos and caramelo combo. First time trying a caramelo, and it was amazing!! They have the freshest and lightest tortillas, and they're just the right size. We also tried, for the first time, queso fundido. It was delicious, and the server was helpful and very professional. The portions are so large that we didn't have room for dinner later! They don't serve diet soda, so we had iced tea, and it kept coming. I loved this restaurant, and hope we get a chance to return. HIGHLY recommend!More

We ordered margaritas and told the server THREE times, no salt. Both drinks showed up with salt. I ordered the chicken burro with beans and cheese. It was a large tortilla with only chicken and was extremely bland. When we received the bill I noticed...she served me a large burro but never asked me what size I wanted. I would never have ordered the large. Also, chips are extra and they’re terrible. With so many Mexican restaurants in town, choose another place. This one was extremely disappointing!!More

We were tired after a long day of sightseeing so my daughter suggested that we go through a drive through and go back to the hotel. My daughter suggested BK Carne Asada & Hot Dogs. We ordered the fish, Carne Asada, and Adobada tacos. Customer...service was awesome.! The guy that took the order was extremely friendly. When we unpacked our food at the hotel I was surprised to see so many little containers. There was the cheese, Pico de Gallo, 3 different sauces, and onions. Everything was very good. Would definitely recommend.More

This place is really good. They had great Sonoran hot dogs. I say you need to get it the way it comes for the full taste. Customer service was really good.

In town for the rock shows we decided to try a different Mexican local. A happy crowd with plenty of music and quick friendly service. It’s a fast food sit down restaurant with waitress’. We tried their Sonoran hotdogs and a carne asada burrito followed...by tres leches cake. With a modela all quite good. Not fancy but fun.More

We got take out here our first night in Tucson. Had heard about the hot dogs and were nearby. Large parking lot. Drive through, dine in, call in, take out. We were unfamiliar with the menu so went inside to order. Staff was very nice...and helpful. We waited about ten minutes for our food. Got the sonoran hot dogs and tacos, choice of sauces for tacos. Small side of chips and salsa. Reasonable prices. Everything was very tasty. I'm sure it would have been even better eaten on site when freshly prepared. Would return.More

I was a little worried when my college son selected this restaurant as he had been there the night before and loved it. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The place is no frills but the food is quite tasty. We started out with the guacamole...and chips. The guac was average but the chips were homemade and were delicious. The chicken enchillada was crispy on the outside and filled with pinto beans (no black beans) and spicy chicken. My son, who is Mexican Foodie, loved the Buro (which I think us New Englanders refer to as a burrito). My husband said the chicken tacos were delicious but had to order more as they are pretty small. The music was blaring and the mask wearing waitress was barely audible. When we asked her to speak up, she dropped down a few decibels with an annoyed look on her face. I think she ever rolled her eyes. A little rude indeed, but don't let that deter you from some great Mexican Food. I think we are all sick of wearing mask by now!More

Upon my visit to Tucson,we thought me and my family to go and try out this restaurant, which was the biggest mistake that i have made, jas nothing to do with the Mexican culture..the food was extremely awful..the service was very poor.no follow ups from the managers...or whatsoever.it start when the server (coraima)make us get something we didnt order even if we didnt approve we still have to pay for it.the food was blend no flavor cold, the manager notice that me and my family were uncomfortable with the service and the food but he didnt do anything about it.we except only a approche gesture to our table but he didnt,we paid for food we didnt like and above all we were charged tips from the server that we didnt leave on top of the bill...i mean if it means something is that thievery from yhe part of the server and luck of customer service from the manager, which only god knows that he has no idea whats going on under his watch...i guess under qualified managment and bad judge of character..if I had to come back to Tucson again,I would never go back to that restaurant..like I said if you really a family people I would take my business and go somewhere where my family would feel appreciated and treated with respect..More

My wife and I were vacationing in Tucson and were looking for something different than southwestern food for lunch. We did a google search on hot dogs and BK's popped up w solid reviews so off we went to find it. In the spirit of...full disclosure, I grew up in Chicagoland, went to a bunch of White Sox and Cubs games and frequented a number of local hot dog, Italian beef, polish places so naturally, I'm biased to a traditional Chicago dog. Still, my wife and I were curious to find out what a Sonoran Style Dog was...and BK's was credited w having one of the best in Tucson. We studied the menu and a very friendly staffer took our order at the counter (2 Sonoran dogs, a side of fries and chips n salsa...you don't order THOSE together in Chicago! :) Probably only 10 min passed when a server arrived at our table w our order: 2 Sonoran style hot dogs wrapped in bacon and slid inside a kind of 'canoe' of a bun in that the ends were attached vs a traditional bun w each end open. The dogs were covered w whole pinto beans, grilled and fresh onions and fresh diced tomato squirted w with mayonnaise 'laces' and a line of mustard. They also had a little jalapeño sauce plus a plump, grilled yellow pepper. Frankly, pun intended, one of us should've ordered one of the many other southwestern items (e.g.beef tacos, a carne asada burro, a Parrillada (read the menu) or fajitas) just to try something other than the same thing. To be fair (or unfair) to the rating I'd actually give the hot dog a 3 (again, I'm biased toward the Chicago dog), not because the ingredients weren't fresh or tasty, but just because it was A) messy to eat, B) the hot dog was kinda bland and C) it was missing snap. If you're from NYC or Jersey, you know that 'snap' I'm talking about, which wasn't happening w this dog. That said, the fries were crisp and crunchy and nicely salted, and the salsa bar had some wonderful choices for our chips (mild, medium, hot, really hot). We'd go back, but not for the hot dogs...the southwestern items looked fantastic and the aroma in the place was great.More
