So sad that after 25yrs Fronimos will be closing January 15th, 2021, due to leasing issue. We had our going out of business take out dinner, the Gyro Plate. It was so good, tasty and filling. Speaking with the staff, they hope to find another...location.More

We so enjoyed the cafe. The food was very good. The service had a very friendly touch. The location created a bit of a problem getting to, but worth the effort.

Don't be put off by the location, as construction is on-going. Large, pleasantly decorated dining room. Order and pay at the counter, then your meal is brought to you. Substantial portions, and free refills on drinks. My chicken was nicely seasoned but a little chewey....Didn't try desserts but they looked yummy!More

Went to Fromino's Greek Cafe for dinner. I ordered Gyro Plate($11.50) which had a large gyro, fries, and salad. Another ordered just the Gyro($8) and a side of fries($3). You order at the counter and staff is very friendly. The meal came to table quickly....Both meals was very tasty and filling, enough to bring home 1/2 my gyro for lunch the next day.More

A gyro special, for $11, is a delight, with a big fresh salad with everything you'd want, and a hearty sandwich (it's almost enough for two). One of our very favorites in downtown Tucson, on Speedway across from Loft cinema.

Fronimo's is still a little hard to get to for parking but it is worth the effort. Centrally located at 3242 E. Speedway it caters to a wide variety of people including U of A students and civic groups. A small group room can be...closed off for privacy. Their baklava is the best I have found in Tucson. Order at the counter and take a seat, your meal will be brought to you very quickly. Prices are very reasonable for Greek food. Don't mind the rather strip mall setting...you are there for the food.More

Had lunch with a friend and ordered a Greek sallad, which was very good. I also had a bite of the baklava, which was very tasty. People were friendly and the atmosphere average for a cafe. Since the plates and utensils are paper and plastic,...I don't think this is for me, however the lunch was good.More

We have been here several times. This is a very good Greek restaurant with a very good and varied menu. The gyro’s are very good and my son loves them. My wife loves the spanakopita but it is only served as an appetizer. I am...fond of their pastitsio. You go the counter and order and the being it to your table. They also do takeout which we have used often. They have a nice selection of beer and wine as well as non-alcoholic drinks Good service and food. You will enjoy.More

I chose the lamb shank and was pleasantly surprised at the quality and the quantity of lamb. Very noticeable was the delicate flavor--no hint of "gaminess" at all. This is not a fancy restaurant, but we had a pleasant experience. I've eaten in Greece and...I found the food at Fronimo's less Americanized than most Greek restaurants in which I've eaten. I would definitely return. For those who don't like lamb, they have non-lamb choices as well. Prices are very reasonable, and some choices would qualify as "cheap eats."More

I have eaten here many times before and the food was average. This past Saturday, 3/30/2019, my friend and I stopped in for a quick bite, mistake! The gyros were dripping grease; the meat was little peices instead of the typical slices of gyro meat;...it was about half the meat than normal; the tomato was not ripe and was green; and that's just the gyro. The gyro fries were so full of feta that it was almost inedible, and they didn't put the lemon, olive oil and greek spices on the fries as they previously had, and as promised on the menu. Worst of all, even after sopping up all the grease with napkins before eating, my friend and I both were on the pot with gi upset afterwords, and it lasted pretty much all day. I don't know what happened? Raise their prices, serve half the food, not what is ordered, basically inedible, and when informing the owner he gets arrogant and argues, even when it is right in front of him. Will never return. Just another overpriced restaurant, owned and operated by money grubbing arrogant greek man that serves inedible expensive slop. Beware if gi issues! The pic below explains everything. Even tho the owner sais, "we don't use grease". But the girl at the front was super nice, thus the 2 stars instead of 1. Good luck if you go here.More

As a Greek, I've eaten many a greek meal. Their Dolmades were some of the best I've ever eaten. I had the Greek Gyro which was very good, but, I have to say, the tzaziki sauce was a little bland. Otherwise the pita bread and...gyro meat were fresh and delicious. I want to go back and try the moussaka and pastitsio as these are really some of my very favorites. Greek salad was also very good. The atmoshere was pleasant enough and the wait staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Greek food is my choice of Mediterrean food, for sure. Good spices, creams, and flavors all rolled into a meal make it a delight. Be sure to order the Spanokopita as it, too, was delicious. Extremely delicious. They serve it fresh and hot. Good size portion as well.More
