The food was mediocre. The shrimp was the best of what we ordered, but it might be advisable to pass on the hamburgers. The service was surprisingly slow. I doubt that we will go back there.

Both fish dishes we ordered, halibut and scallops were excellent. What made our evening so enjoyable was the outstanding service provided by our waiter Preston Davis. Being from No. CA, we are not wine snobs, but enjoy good wines. Preston was extremely knowledgeable about their...wine list. This is a little late in writing, but our first time for indoor dining. Everything was top notch to follow Covid policies. Again, I want to thank our amazing waiter Preston Davis for his outstanding service. He is the epitome of a perfect waiter.More

A really special spot, hidden in the hills near the canyon resort. The views and the food and the service, all fabulous from one to the next, its just an all around upscale environment in a casual setting. I have been for regular dinner and...for Happy Hour in the past which started at 5:30pm. I remember a phenomenal short rib taco and strong cocktails.More

On our way to dinner, I had to call to let them know we would be 10 minutes late. Preston answered the phone and was polite, friendly, and understanding. When we arrived, Preston greeted us warmly by name and showed us to our seat. Our...waiter's name was Cole, and he was extremely gracious. He seemed to appear the moment we needed something, but was not over-present. He had an answer for every menu and wine question we asked. I am vegan, and both Cole and Chef Tyler (who came to our table to greet us and tell us about the menu) made special accommodations for me that were beyond my expectations. I asked for vegetables instead of chips for my guacamole, and they sent out a plate that was a work of art with the most delicious heirloom tomatoes I've ever had. Our busser Josh was conversational with us and graceful about removing plates at just the right time, and asking if there was anything else he could bring out for us. Every employee was wearing masks, kept social distance, and even wore gloves. I felt as though the safety of my group was important to them at all times. The food was mind blowing and the service by every single staff member is truly something next level; to feel like royalty, go to The V. I had a memorable experience dining at The Flying V and I cherish how special my group was made to feel by all of the staff.More

We had dinner at the Flying V, and the meal was top notch. Excellently-prepared entrees, terrific service from our waiter, Cole, and beautiful ambiance. Also, tables were spaced well to accommodate social distancing and both staff and customers wore masks. We will be back!

We recently spent a wonderful 2.5 hours at the bar and will return. I want to credit our bartender Shawn (sp?) who was on top of it all. His drinks were excellent. We could also tell that he was backed up nicely by other staff...who all contributed to keep operations running smoothly. The Happy Hour food was excellent and at good prices. Thank you so much!More

First, the person seating us could have not been nicer. I wore a skirt and she was kind enough to put down a napkin since the chairs are made of cow hide and can be rough. Our server was attentive through the whole meal. They...start you with a corn bread and some sort of flat bread with flavored buttered. I was already in heaven. My husband had the ribs and I had the fish of the day, which was halibut. My husband was going to order the full rack, but the server warned it would be a lot of food. He was thrilled with the half and he said the ribs had great flavor and were had a tone of meat on them. The fish of the day was halibut and they seared it to perfection. It had to be the most moist halibut I have ever had. It was served on a risotto that had an incredible flavor. I can't say enough nice things about the place and if you go at sunset time it is a beautiful view.More

We were immediately intrigued with the notion of table side guacamole customized to your liking, by the “guacamolier”. We booked dinner here so we could be treated to this, as we have never heard of it before. It did not disappoint, guacamole made with the...ingredients you like, plenty of chips and excellent service. The service also included chili cornbread with sweet butter. Delicious. The mains were also good, salmon, when in the desert...it was very good. Service was friendly and prompt. The fireplace inside is a nice touch. Highly recommend!More

We held my nieces wedding there, and I understand it was the first time in the restaurant. Staff was polite and very attentive. I'd like to particularly mention William Arce who was most helpful throughout the entire event. There was nothing that he wouldn't do...and went out of his way to be sure that we had what we needed. Kudos to Marcy Mack and Michaela Gutierrez. They were a great team and a pleasure to work with!More

A culinary delight. Guacamole made fresh at the table a treat. The tenderloin with conviction, rates a solid 10. The chef/kitchen knows how to prepare quality steak. REALLY TOPS. Supporting drinks were well done, and the Flying V margarita was superb.Service very good, environment comfortable....A must.More

I do not know. You would have to give them a call for information. It was just my wife and I on a vacation. We are foodys so look for great restaurants. Flying V Bar & Grill is that.

they wouldn't turn you away if you're wearing clothes and shoes / sandals. "Resort casual" is a sure bet.
