Great service, yummy food, nice setting (we were inside & it was pretty noisy), outside seating looked charming with a mellow musician. I'm a super picky eater - I don't like meat or fried foods. The menu met my desires.

We had a wonderful dining experience recently while visiting the Tucson area. This was our first time here and would certainly have dinner again on future visits to Tucson.

Overall, the food was really good and the portion sizes were good. We split a salad to start, which was excellent. We had the chicken dish and the salmon dish. Enjoyed the chicken dish the most. Service was good and we received our food fairly...fast. Thought the the prices were a little high…More

Food wise, you could hardly do better. Wonderful. Also well-known for their desserts in the showcase where you get up and point at the one you want. Basically it’s a coffee shop off the foyer of a historic hotel on the main drag downtown, but...it opens to the lobby bar and then to an outdoor patio and then to a concert venue. The floor is encrusted with pennies and I love it to the moon and back. Tour the hotel while you’re there - a nightclub and a radio broadcasting DJ room await.More

I went to tour the Congress Hotel which is a MUST. I stayed to eat on the patio and enjoy the beautiful evening and the musical entertainment. I am please to report that in addition to the above, I had a very good meal served...by a very good server. In fact, it was so good, that a week later I did it again.More

We enjoy eating here, high quality, very good service and friendly ambiance. The last time we were here was when we stayed at The Congress for NYE party a few years ago. We have dined here at least 6 times prior and it was always...very good. This time, on March 8, 2022 we stopped in for breakfast about 8:30 AM. Our server was Sarah. She was very pleasant, always smiling, cheerful and provided excellent service. I was very disappointed that they no longer served up their famous Corned Beef Hash :-( I am a big fan of CBH and this place made the best I have ever had and I have tried all over the USA. They also have removed the pennies covered floor (I see they made a coffee table top out of a portion of it, it is in the hotel lobby). The floor is now all terracotta tile. It looks nice and probably easier maintenance. Anyway, after Sarah told me the no longer had CBH breakfast, and I frowned. I asked for the Braveheart breakfast which may be somewhat similar. Unfortunately, they were out of the brisket, another frown. Instead I ordered the Chilaques Verde (a dish I have enjoyed while in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico). I was happy, because I told Sarah that it was better than what I had in Mexico. She said she would tell the chef.. I hope she did. My wife had the Cast Iron Baked Eggs which looked excellent as well. We both had coffee which was fresh, strong and delicious. I suppose nothing stays the same forever in the restaurants, so we were happy customers with the new dishes. For anyone visiting downtown Tucson, I highly recommend stopping in here for a breakfast, lunch or dinner. We have tried this place for all meals and they do them very well.More

This very old hotel is spotlessly clean and well maintained but still embodies traveling from a different era. I have an old friend (now deceased) who I could sense strolling through the lobby here. It was certainly his kind of place. And, quite frankly, ours...too. We loved the turn of the century small town ambience (yes, Tucson was once a small town). At the cafe, we had a delicious burger and fries, a very exotic Cactus Mule and a good local brew. Service was prompt and friendly.More

Dined with husband and autistic teenage son on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Patio was beautiful with a small band. Was told 30 minute wait (asked for first availed-inside or outside)and gave cell number. Twenty minutes later, table was ready. Seated outside. Son was feeling VERY...over stimulated by the noise outside but I was reluctant to ask for another table as they were so busy. Hesitantly approached hostess and asked to be moved inside. She was AMAZING and so understanding. Bummed I did not get her name. We were quickly moved inside and all able to enjoy a terrific meal. Thank you Cup Cafe for being so responsive to my son’s needs!!More

We were looking for a downtown place with outdoor seating and vegetarian options, and this fit the bill. they had outdoor heaters, plus live music for part of the time, which was nice. Service was friendly and since we were not familiar with the menu...and local brews, they made some good recommendations, Enjoyed the pasta dish without the bacon on request. My hemp tamales were unusual and tasty, Make sure to go inside, poke around the lobby and see the art on display.More

I crave fried chicken, but do not eat it as often as I would like to. So my interest was piqued when I read about this southern fried tofu sandwich as a good substitute for fried chicken. Extremely delicious!!! I wish I could get this...sandwich in my hometown. The service during our lunch was prompt and friendly, and the outdoor patio was delightful. Don't pass this place up.More
