Have not been here in a long time. Decided to stop in today for lunch. COVID-19 has definitely had an impact here as with most restaurants in town. I ordered the El Diablo burger while my wife ordered the True Blue burger. We also had...a side of their fried pickles. Be both had a beer that recommended by the host/server. The burgers were both great. Mine had green chilies and habaneros. Needless to say it was spicy and I loved it. My wife’s had lots of blue cheese and grilled onions. Great! The fried pickles were a bit on the down/weak side. Not a lot of pickle flavor to them. Still good with a nice dipping sauce. All in all a good lunch. We will be going back and soon I hope. COVID-19 precautions are in place and guidelines are being followed.More

I'm not a burger person so I'm pretty picky with toppings - but I got the Sonoran Burger and it was AMAZING! Food came out quickly and was cooked to perfection. Beware - the sides come in huge portions. I wouldn't have gotten my own...side and would've shared with my partner had I known it would be so much. Cute little place, would definitely go again. Prices were good. My partner got the Chorizo Sunrise and was happy with that too, the only thing was the chorizo taste was so flavorful it overpowered the rest of the burger.More

We saw the clever name and decided to try their burgers. We had our little dog with us so we had to sit at the one and only table outside which we understood. They should really, have more tables outside. It was hot but there...was a lovely breeze and we enjoyed it. We wish more Tucson restaurants had outdoor seating. It was after 3 when we went so we hit their Happy Hours. They advertised discounts on Draft Beer, Burgers and certain types of fries. We ordered 2 burgers, a basic french fries and beer. We love draft beer, however, we do not like artisanal beers but rather a simple lager. They do not offer a draft lager only artisan beers on tap. This was disappointing but we ordered bottles and they were ice cold. I was shocked to have the waitress ask how I wanted the burgers cooked. This is usually reserved only for high class, expensive places. I asked for medium rare and that is exactly what we got. The burgers were juicy and delicious and the fries were plentiful. We lingered outside over another ice cold beer before asking for the bill. We were a bit disappointed later to see that we had only been given a happy hour discount on one of the burgers but the meal were so good and the staff so friendly that we will definitely return.More

First time visiting in many years. I believe that we were here shortly after they opened. Today was very good. Even though they are open, I ordered takeout. Wife had the True Blu burger while I had El Diablo burger. We shared the Green Chili...Fries. Ok, the burgers are quite large with everything you would expect. The True Blu is loaded with cheese. The El Diablo has green chili’s and habanero peppers. I like mine spicy. The fries were very good. Even though they have bacon, green chili’s, and cheese on them they were not soggy. A very good lunch. We will be going back soon this time. Everything was packaged nicely for take out and was still quite warm when I got home.More

Just loved this place. The staff are great. Had the monkey burger, and hubby fell in love. I had the Rodeo burger and it too was awesome. Nice and juicy, done just right. The sweet potato fries are to die for, crispy and chewy are...in the same go. come between 3-5 p.m and you can get specials on the beer, specialty fries and burgers, how great is that?More

My husband got one with a beef patty, cheese, chorizo, and an egg! He said it was good. Their basket of home made chips was large and very good. They also have beer on tap.

Every time we come to Tucson we have to go to Monkey Burger. A great burger and fries. Even if we're not close to it we have to make an effort.

Every now and then we need to do a gourmet burger. We had the Plymouth, a Turkey burger. It was VG!. Cole Slaw too! We also had the El Diablo (beef) burger but it should come with a ⚠️.. it was very spicy!!! Three alarm,...but VG. Home made potato chips too! You can choose the temperature of your beef patty. They give you extra napkins for their gourmet burger... and you will need it as they are loaded. Bun... nothing special I use the Sparky burger with hatch chile, from Sparky’s in Hatch NM as my best ever burger. It still is! A couple table outside. Plenty of parking. Relax informal place with graffiti art.More

Having moved from Tucson, we were especially excited that these great burgers and fries were still available. The garlic herb mayo with the smoked cheddar and bacon burger should be sold by the jar! My lettuce-wrapped gluten friendly option was just what I wanted. Might...have to visit again before we head back out of town.More

The kiss of death = "I wanted to love this place". I truly did and have had this place bookmarked for a couple of years now. We grabbed my Dad and headed here for lunch. All three of us regretted it about an 30 minutes...after leaving and fighting for a restroom if you catch my drift. We were there 45 minutes after they opened, keep that in mind as you peruse the below. I will start with the positives -- locally owned, cool theme/decor, 2 out of 3 friendly staff, hearty helpings, the burgers tasted good... and the chocolate shake was delicious (even if it was served in a flimsy plastic cup while dining in). The not so positives - while ordering, we were informed they were out of: whipped cream for the shake, chicken (no wings for the hubs!) and FLOUR of all things (I mean, come on go run to the store). When my husband asked what happened with running out of chicken the young man responded curtly "I don't know I just work here". The floor was filthy and my sandals kept sticking to it and when I went to the restroom there were no paper towels. When we did get our food, we went for the ketchup... empty bottle on the table. So we went for the ketchup on the next table... empty bottle on that table. Normally these things are not that big of a deal except they had literally been open 45 minutes with 3 staff up front so the place being dirty, empty ketchup bottle and a number of items not be available really set to the tone to likely not return. The topper was all three of us having gastro issues within 30 minutes or so of leaving. We all sipped off of a shared lemonade so either the grill was not cleaned or the nozzle dispenser on the drink machine. No bueno.More
