This place is worth the effort to find, in a bit of a hidden spot near downtown Tucson. Open-air dining surrounded by the somewhat bohemian decor makes the atmosphere fun and relaxing. Food was quite good and service was very friendly (try the prickly pear...More

I like the eclectic menu at La Cocina and its closeness to the Artists' Courtyard and the Tucson Museum of Art. Mostly I like it for the relaxed and casual outdoor atmosphere. Have been there many times.

La Cocina came recommended by several bartenders and waitstaff around Tucson, so it seemed worth a visit. The food was fresh and well-prepared, the bartender and waitstaff were friendly and efficient, and we enjoyed the sprawling layout and live music. Definitely worth a visit.

Tucson is full of contradictions and surprises and this is one. Good Mexican food in a completely relaxed, rustic atmosphere - in the centre of the city. Hard-working, pleasant staff, certainly worth a visit.
