We had planned to eat at another restaurant but found that it was closed on Monday. As we proceeded on the downtown historic walk, we found the artisans village and La Cocina. We decided to share a chile rellano, fried artichokes, and, a quesadilla. All were made from scratch, and not smothered in sauce and cheese as many of the... More

This restaurant was recommended by family members from the area so we decided to try it with our group of six. The seating was in an outside patio surrounded by various small shops. Despite being outside and evening time, the presence of free standing heaters made the temperature comfortable. The area had a very festive feel to it which was... More

We visited La Cocina during the Tucson Museum of Art show, so it was a very busy day for them. We were told by a kind hostess that the wait for food would be approximately 30 minutes due to volume. We agreed and were seated right away. She courteously brought us a pitcher of water along with menus. We ordered... More

My wife and I enjoyed a nice lunch here on a warm afternoon in Tucson. With tables in a largely outdoor setting under the trees, we dined on southwestern food with a harpist providing atmosphere. It wasn't terribly busy, and service was a bit slow, but the environment was very nice and we weren't in a terrible hurry, so all... More

There are several huge fans to assure you keep cool and bug free in the warm months. The menu is extensive and very reasonably priced. Parking can be tricky since there is no lot and you pay for parking on the street if you are lucky enough to find a spot.

The atmosphere is great to sit and have some drinks with friends. Was not too impressed with the food, or service. But I would definitely go back to just sit on the patio and drink.

Service is good and very accommodating, the food tastes great, and the patio is beautiful. I go there on a regular basis, usually at night, and I am never disappointed. Any of their dishes are great, and they do offer vegetarian dishes for those who like them.

We loved La Cocina! Great ambiance in the middle of the city surrounded by arts and crafts shops. We opted for the Mexican entrees and were more than pleased. Friendly staff as well.

Nice, relaxed atmosphere with outdoor courtyard seating iunder a canopy of trees for shade. Great to sit and relax after visiting the Old Town Artisans shops. Friendly, attentive service and good food.

First of all we got to La Cocina on a Thursday about 20 min before the kitchen was scheduled to close (which we had no idea about). You would think that they would've turned us down or something, but no. They kindly gave us time to look at the menu and order. The food was great! The grilled eggplant is... More
