My wife and I had a fantastic dining experience celebrating Valentine’s Day at Le Rendez Vous. There was a special “fixed price” 5 course meal with numerous fabulous options for each course. The food was delicious, served in small and manageable portions, so you could...enjoy all 5 courses and not “fill up” after 2 or 3 courses. The service was first class; very friendly and welcoming waiters and waitresses and help staff. For us, this was a “special occasion” night out; we knew it would be an expensive, delicious, memorable dining experience. Strongly recommend for special occasion dinners!More

Was an incredible dining experience. From the staff to the food, it’s completely deserving of five stars the best beef Wellington, I have ever had great wine selection, and the Grand Marnier soufflé was superb.

This was terrible. Whomever thinks that this is even slightly good French food is out of their mind. Would never return. Awful. Two stars for nice servers.

Our party of 3 was celebrating a birthday. We hadn’t been back in a while. I made reservations through Open Table: 7:30 dinner, main dinning room. Diego surprisingly recognized us from our last visit! He is the best! Friendly attentive, made our evening very enjoyable....We ordered cocktails while deciding on what to order. Appetizer ordered was the Escargot. Entrees ordered were the Duck, Peppersteak and Beef Wellington. I had the Beef Wellington, classic French dish. It was absolutely delicious! The presentation and taste of all the dishes were excellent! Still my Tucson go to for French cuisine! Atmosphere: quaint, small, romantic in main dining room. Service: excellent. Food: excellent.More

Very disappointing! We went for my 67th birthday. Reservations were made 2 weeks ago, when we arrived, we were seated in a very tight corner with no circulation and to make matters worse the air conditioning was not working properly. We and several other customers...were using our menus as fans. When we asked about the AC the wait staff just shrugged it off. We had appetizers, salads and dinner. We made it through the first 2 courses and ate some of the entrees before we had enough. I asked for my dinner to go and we left. It was so unenjoyable to pay top dollar for a meal that was so so, and made even less appetizing because of the heat. No recognition for my birthday although it was noted when the reservation was made. We won't be back for a while and if and when we decide to go back it will be in the winter or we will call to see if the AC is working.More

My wife and I made reservations for our anniversary through Open Table. We arrived on time and I told the lady our name and reservation. She proceeded to seat us in their bistro area. When the waitstaff arrived I asked what the difference between the...area we were placed and the white table clothed area was. She said that was where the 'regulars' and people with reservations sat. I informed her that we had reservations but she seemed flustered and not offered to change locations. It never filled up. The onion soup was good the bread placed on the table was nothing special. My duck had a nice sauce but the sides were so so. My wife ordered the Boeuf Wellington. The steak was good but the pastry surrounding it was gooey and the potatoes were undercooked. Presentation was underwhelming. I don't get the rave reviews for this restaurant. We decided that we would never be back but I wasn't going to bother with a review. But then this morning Open Table told me that since we didn't show up that we would not receive points. Obviously they treated us as walk-ins even though I told 2 different people of our reservation. Totally mis-managedMore

Very disappointing dining experience at Le Rendezvous recently; service was disjointed at best, when asked about the special, the waiter pointed to the chalkboard and replied, “that’s it” after taking our order he disappeared, never re-poured the wine; others brought the appetizers, salad & main...course . The food was underwhelming and lacked flavor.More

After a dozen trips to Paris, France, and spending months in the 6th and 7th arr. in rented apartments, we developed a keen liking for the French way of preparing food. We tried many restaurants both well-known and local favorites. Five years ago we visited...LRV for the first time and enjoyed the experience; great food and service. We revisited LRV yesterday and discovered they have improved the food and service to sublime/perfect. We tried the small plate seared scallop with white bean sauce, house made pate and roasted beet salads. The scallop was perfectly seared and seasoned and the white bean sauce complimented the main ingredient. The house made pate was served with a simple green salad with a vinaigrette and crostinis. It was terrrific! The beet salad was served with some greens, pine nuts and beautifully roasted red beets. My wife had the mini Wellington and it was so good. We RV from Idaho to AZ for the winter. We've already made plans to celebrate both or our 2023 birthdays at LVR.More

We went with friends, and we were not optimistic. The restaurant is not near much. We were so wrong. The food was incredible. There were full menus, with authentic French cuisine, The staff were very knowledgeable about the food and the wine. We closed down...the restaurant, yet they never rushed us. You must go to this restaurant when in Tuscon.More

Even though the website only shows their "small plates" this restaurant has a full dinner menu that is magnificent. The location is a little off the beaten path but not hard to find and ample parking in back. There were six of us for dinner...and we were immediately welcomed by the waiter who let us pick where we wanted to be seated. Two of us had the special Pecan Crusted Rack of Lamb . I can without a doubt say that was the best, most tender, most delicious lamb dish I have ever tasted! My husband had Steak au Poivre, cooked to perfection medium rare, and also truly amazing. Other dishes ordered were Duck (excellent), Sea Bass (excellent) and Dover Sole (which even came with the roe sack - sautéed). Each entree came with a special potato dish of thinly sliced potatoes that had been first fried and then baked with butter and breadcrumbs to perfection, and some freshly steamed vegetables. We also shared Mussels, White Bean Soup, Snails and Mushrooms in puff pastry before the main course. All were amazing. When we saw Chocolate Soufflé's on the menu and another dish called Pithiviers (puff pastry with almond paste filling served with vanilla ice cream) we just could not resist ordering two of each to split for dessert. The wine selection was good and reasonable. Last but not least we had the best service imaginable. The fact that this restaurant has been in business for over 40 years and is still in the "family" is in itself a great testimonial. What a great experience!!More

My wife and I have eaten at LR many times over the years since my first review in 1016. It never ceases to please us. Once again, we ate there last night (Nov. 4, 2020) and we had the pear salad and escargot pre dinner--they...were excellent. My wife had the scallop dish and I had the duck with bing cherries and kirsch sauce--both absolutely delicious!. Service was prompt, courteous and efficient. I had a glass of the Cote du Rhone blend, which was OK--probably wouldn't order it again. But all in all, the dinner was wonderful; LR is a solid 4+ restaurant! We highly recommend it and we will continue to return.More

Great restaurant which has been a staple for my wife and I these past 20 years. Excellent staff-well versed on the menu and wine list. Prices in check with what one might find elsewhere, but the food, is exceptional.

Lovely atmosphere. Elegant but not stuffy. Service was great and attentive. The best part was the food.....fabulous ! Sea bass was so fresh and delicious. Wine by the glass is reasonably priced and offers a good selection. Didn’t have dessert but next time it will...be a must based on the choices and view of dessert tray. After driving by this restaurant for over 20 plus years this was my first visit but not my last. A new favorite restaurant in Tucson. A beautiful place for a special occasion. Loved it so much❤️More

We were greeted by Kelly, the charming hostess and wife of the Chef. Seated immediately in a corner table. Jared, our waiter, carefully made great recommendations and service was superb. The food? Spectacular-here are the details. My wife thought their lemon drop martini was the...best she ever had, I enjoyed and excellent Bordeaux from WA-$10 glass. Excellent blue point oysters $15 for 1/2 dozen. The small plate brie tucked into fresh pastry ($6) and the mushroom, brie pastry were both excellent. She had the filet mignon-excellent, thick and not the usual round piece. The sea bass was perfectly prepared. All hard to believe in the middle of the desert. One of the best French Restaurants we have ever enjoyed and Yes we have been to France many times and go to New Orleans many times a year.More

Broad menu - excellent service. Tip: 3-4 small plates offer an excellent way to sample the menu at a good price. Tips: 1. The small plate scollop with beans was outstanding. 2. The mussels were very good and the sauce was out of this world....3. Extra bread to enjoy the sauce.More
