Fabulous steak, bottomless ranch style beans with pico de Gallo on the side, basic salad, huge baked potato and endless garlic toast in an old stage coach location on the edge of town.... Doesn't look like much, but the best steak dinner I've had in...More

We had planned to eat at the local Texas Roadhouse, but they were absolutely overcrowded, so went to searching for another Steakhouse in the area. Discovered this place, unique and Eclectic doesn't begin to describe it, but all in a good way. Large outdoor seating...More

Tucked away but worth the short trip. Actual stage coach stop back in the day. Very pleasant/helpful servers, meat grilled outside to perfection. We had later afternoon sandwiches but every indication a hoppin dinner/night spot as well. Decor fun as well.

The food was good, of course and the service was acceptable. Thought the prices for entrees was way high considering the setting. We enjoyed the experience and understand the history but when setting in an environment such as Abner's, I'd expect the prices not to...More

About 45 years ago L’il Abner’s was the favorite steakhouse among younger crowds seeking authentic cowboy atmosphere (in spite of its Ozarkian name). But it was wayyyy out northwest of Tucson, and all by itself in former mining and dude ranch territory. We didn't get...More

Fun place for a celebration outside! Our servers were great and put up with presents and many margaritas. The ribs and steaks were cooked to perfection and tender. We all enjoyed the patio very much and look forward to visiting again.

The restaurant has the apparent history of an old stagecoach stop. Expect only beef, ribs and chicken. Beans and bread comes with the meals. The food was excellent and presented exactly as ordered [ i.e., medium rare was medium rare]. Staff were pleasant and helpful...More

We stayed in Marana and were referred to Li'l Abner's by the hotel. We understood it was very casual, sort of old time, cattleman's style of steak restaurant. Service was good and the rib eye was PHENOMENAL!!! One of the best mesquite grilled steaks ever!...More

L'il Abner's had been recommended by a couple we met on a hot air balloon ride. They said it was the best barbeque we would find anywhere. They were not wrong. I ordered a 1/2 rack of beef ribs and Russ had the filet. Both...More

Dining out is not just about eating food. I have been patronizing L'il Abner's Steakhouse for about 40 years...long before it was engulfed by the megalopolis sprawl of Continental Ranch development. The old Butterfield Stage stop has been a Tucson icon for 70+years, where you...More
