If you're on the mood of eating like a cowboy eat years ago this is the place!! When you arrive the first thing you will get is the mesquite aroma and the sensation of time travel to the past atmosphere. About the food I have come this place many times!! with NO disappointments, my best plates are the beef ribs,... More

Was not blown away by the food or atmosphere. The food was good and decent portions, however not really for the prices. Patio was nice, with live music offered. Inside, the walls are covered in old licence plates and general "stuff".

Ribs and steaks are pricey but fairly good.Texas Road house has better ribs in my opinion but Lil Abners is an old Tucson blast from the past.BBQ sauce was odd tasting.I prefer having a choice of sauces and you don't get that here.It is a real authentic old road house atmosphere and the smell of Esquire will get your appetite... First timers here. Place is empty, like a sign it'd seen better days. Who knows maybe it fills up at other times? My ribs were so salty they literally stung my lips & mouth. My husbands steak, a little overdone. Presenting a basically empty plate is not so appealing. Lots of room for improvement guys. And you may be some... More

I try and eat here every time I visit Tucson. Best T-Bone Steak. Grilled over mesquite wood. Try their Hot Fudge Sundae for desert, excellent.

This is a cute restaurant and it's been there forever. The server was great but the food was just OK. All you can eat bread and beans if you want bread and beans but the pork ribs that we came for were just OK. They served BBQ sauce on the side which is good but the ribs were way to... More

First real BBQ in the US. Had the rib eye and it was delicious! Meat cooked perfectly. Loved the beans, bread and salad. A quaint location as well. Shame if this place is to be sold and redeveloped so get there while it's still in business!

This is one of my favorite places. What's not to love about a 2 pound porterhouse, mesquite grilled outside over an open pit in a real, original stagecoach stop. They lean slightly toward over cooking so order one level less than you usually do. I've tried the ribs as well and they are really good if you don't want steak,... More
