In the last few months the Marana store has gotten really bad. The bread is stale, the ingredients " High Baggins' are not mixed at all including undercooked bacon in complete slices instead of smaller bits. I observed the workers using their bare hands to...grab the french bread and put basil in the soup barehanded. We used to absolutely love the fresh, warm and tasty food there. We will not be returning.More

We were in Tucson for a golf tournament and needed to grab a quick bite before traveling home. Pleasantly surprised to find a deli that had a wide variety of gluten free sandwiches. I had the most delicious turkey avocado and bacon sandwich! So often...gluten free sandwiches fall apart but this sandwich stayed together! Service was great and will definitely return when I am in Tucson again!!More

Tried out Baggin's in the Lowe's parking lot off Speedway and Kolb for an early lunch around 10:30 am on a Thursday with my granddaughter and great grandson. Super clean (although they just opened at 10!) and very friendly. We were the only customers when...we walked in yet they had six employees working and a lot of prep going on for catering orders. We ordered two sandwiches which came with a small chocolate chip cookie, a side of potato salad, and a large double chocolate cookie for the little. My granddaughter loved the sprouts on her veggie sandwich and I had a turkey sandwich that tasted like Thanksgiving with cranberry sauce and stuffing! Will definitely be back again as the salads are calling our names! Prices on the high end of sandwich costs running between $6 and $12 each. For Californians a comparison would be an upscaled Togo's/Stottlemeyer's. Open for lunch and dinner.More

I love the Baggins Unforgettable. I knew I couldn't eat a whole one since they are so large so I got the half sandwich with potato salad. They certainly do not skimp on meats here. The sandwich was stuffed full with turkey, bacon, avocado, tomatoes,...sprouts cream cheese, mayonnaise all on fresh and really good 12 grain bread. I normally don't like multi grain breads but theirs is fantastic. I barely finished the sandwich and ended up taking the potato salad and cookie (included with every sandwich!) with me. The place was clean, which is not easy when its so close to the U of A campus. The staff were very friendly and it didn't take long to get my meal.More

I usually stop in here from lunch when running errands in the area. I look forward to getting a half & half: half sandwich & a side. I often order the half turkey club with either a soup (yummy chicken Tortilla) or pasta salad. The...meal comes with a complimentary chocolate chip cookie. Service is prompt even when it’s crowded. What’s not to like?More

I just found out that the menu we had ordered from was just printed off the internet site this morning. The charges were $2-$6 more per meal from what the site posted. They seem to charge more because they can.

Whenever I want to go somewhere for lunch, Baggins is always my first choice. There are quite a few of them in Tucson and while this one at 2741 E Speedway is closest to my house, I've always found the others to be just as...good. The sandwiches are made from healthy, fresh ingredients and you can customize many ways. You can choose the type of bread, whatever meats, whatever cheeses, sauces, etc. And, their standard menu of sandwiches is excellent as well. They have sandwiches ranging from hot ruben style sandwiches and hot turkey sandwiches to cold sandwiches with sprouts and avocado. Every sandwich comes with a fresh baked chocolate chip cookie along with it. The restaurant also offers salads, soups and various side dishes including chips and slaws. They will deliver, especially for a group, and it's common for office gatherings or conferences to order from the nearby Baggins for their event. My favorite sandwich is the "Unforgettable" which is a turkey and bacon sandwich on dark brown 12-grain bread, with lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, and sprouts, topped with cream cheese and mayo. My son's favorite sandwich is the "Albuquerque Turkey" which is a hot turkey sandwich with BBQ sauce, peppers, and swiss cheese on a sub roll. And, if he's especially hungry, he'll add "extra meat" for a little bit more.More

Two adults went for lunch on a Sunday. We have visited several other Baggin's locations with pleasant experiences. This shop was not as good. The store is very small, with only about dozen tables (and 2 of those had catering boxes and baskets on top...of them). Guests who were waiting for sandwiches or filling their beverages were standing around the dining tables. The temperature in the dining area was freezing and I was actually shivering before I could finish eating. The young man who waited on us appeared to be a new employee as he seemed to have trouble with the computer ordering system, and he forgot to give us beverage cups. We ordered sandwiches and salads, which took a few minutes to prepare but arrived as ordered and tasted good. All orders include a chocolate chip cookie. Potato chips we ordered were not in the bag, so we had to return to the counter again for those. I might consider visiting this Baggins again for take-out, but the dining area wasn't comfortable.More

a very good sandwich here. We had the BLT and asked for it without some of the ingredients. It arrived quickly as we ordered. Good service at this place.
