I have to start out by saying the tamales are not my favorite Mexican food, but I was in Tucson for a two days and I needed a quick meal. This is definitely a fast food restaurant and not gourmet dining. It is a hole-in-the wall place, but I enjoyed it. I had a chipotle beef Tamale and a spicy... More

I don't know how 643 reviewers could be so wrong. Maybe it's the Emperor's New Clothes effect? Anyway, my husband ordered the red chili tamales, "spicy" pinto beans & "spicy" Mexican rice while I had a red chili burrito, Mexican coleslaw & chips with salsa. When our order arrived, mine was incorrect as my plate contained a tamale rather than... More

A good assortment of tamales, something for everyone, vegan, vegetarian, meat lovers, etc. The tamales seem a little small, but very tasty. We tried several, difficult to pick a favorite, but the blue corn veggie and cheese is pretty good, as is the chili relleno, and I could keep going. They have some breakfast tamales that look good, but we... More

We saw the reviews and decided to give it a try. The tamales were tasty but could of been more flavoreful and spicey. The Spanish rice was reported to be hot as was the chicken and cheese tamale I had. Not hot or spicey but good. Same with salsa bar hot salsa was moderate at best. Place is small little... More

I have never been a great tamale fan but saw this on TV so decided to try it. Not fancy, definite a cheap eats place it really was pretty good. I had a green corn and a chile relleno tamale and thought both great. definitely a go to place under the right circumstances

I was expecting something else about the tamale, but food was good, not great. Staff are helpful and salsa was great, unlimited and free. Good but not great.

This has been our source for Tamales. The spicy beef and the chille reano Were the best so far. And I can buy bags of Mexican oregano. And now I the the hot sauce in the little bottle. Good choice. I m sure a home made by someone's Grandmother would be superior But these will do. I get 12 at... More

Tucson tamales is a small but sweet place with lots of colorful ambience. They make them fresh, or to go & have a very friendly & professional staff. I felt right at home.

food was not that great or authentic enough, although everyone makes tamales differently these were definitely not south of the border food.

We've been going to Tuscon for a winter break for over 20 years and had never been to Tuscon Tamale Company. We decided to try it this year and I can tell you that we will never go back to Tuscon and NOT go to Tuscon Tamale Company. Simply the best!! (And this is from a I-don't-really-like-tamales kind of guy.)... More
