The server was excellent in waiting for our order and happy to answer any questions we had. The variety of tamales offered is great. This is friendly place to eat.

Loved the fresh tamales and perfectly seasoned sides. Local art was a bonus. This place ships tamales - perfect for vacationers like us. Service was friendly and very helpful. Given samples of sides before ordering, great customer service.

My wife is a huge fan of Mexican food. It would probably be her first choice when asked, but she never really enjoyed tamales. Until we tried out Tucson Tamale Company. We left our first visit thoroughly impressed by the moist freshness of the tamales; nothing dry and choking about these tamales. The closest I could compare was some homemade... More

My friend and I met for lunch we had quite a wait. Food was good however, it was pricey for what you get. I've not been back due to the price..

I'm glad they opened a store on Oracle Rd. as it's a lot closer to me then the one on the east side. I have to get a few dozen every now and then to satisfy my daughters craving for tamales. They live on the east coasting i can send them with no problem.

Tucson Tamale company offers eat in dining or a wide selection of frozen Tamales for take out. Accompanying your order whether eat in or take out is a trip to the salsa and condiments bar for your choice of toppings. The salsa bar may be the best part of the tamale experience. This place always has very consistent food. Maybe... More

Luckily, I live in Tucson. Sometimes I stop by the store and sit at one of the few tables and eat in. But, I never leave without taking a selection of tamales to put in the freezer. I like the meat options as well as the vegetarian. At times there are special tamales such as at Thanksgiving where turkey reins.

For those trying to get acquainted with tamales, this may be a misleading place. The tamales here tend to be bigger but heavier than those homemade ones I was lucky enough to get my hands on, or those at several other Mexican restaurants which are more in keeping with the lighter and tastier ones available at places like Larua's.

I usually get the tamales to go (in their frozen state). I put them in the freezer and they are a nice quick meal. They have many different varieties to choose from. They may cost a bit more, but they are worth every bite. This is a Tucson landmark.
