Went to Chef Wang for dinner. I ordered the Grilled Beef with Rice($10.98), another ordered the Grilled Pork Ribs in Hot Pot($14.98) and an appetizer of 10 Small Steamed Bun($6.98). The meals were large, very tasty and sharable. The Hot Pot meal came with the meal on a burner. The Steamed Bun had good flavor. The service was very good too.

While in Tucson for a Gem and Mineral Show, we found ourselves quite isolated from good food.
We happened upon Chef Wang and were more than pleased with the food, service and the restaurant itself.
In fact, we liked it so much that we ate their food for dinner four straight days.
We found the menu to be extensive in its offerings and we found the food that we ordered to be outstanding!
After eight meals, we did not have one that disappointed in the least.
Service was as wonderful as the food!
Prices were MOST reasonable.
We not only ate at the restaurant, we also ordered on-line and had them deliver.
We found the online process easy to understand and use.
Delivery was fast and efficient.
We recommend the restaurant Chef Wang MOST HIGHLY!

I am an American born Chinese (first generation) so I grew up knowing authentic Chinese food. In Tucson it doesn’t get any better than the food at Chef Wang. It’s authentic and flavorful. The extensive menu has great pictures to show you what you are ordering. My family, including my parents, enjoy this restaurant and the service is excellent, the food comes out so quickly, hot and delicious. Try the steamed dumpling (shiao lung bao) or the pot stickers, we always get them when here. They also have a cold dish display with things like marinated cucumbers, seaweed and thin sliced meats. Cold beer available too. We just absolutely love this place!

We 1st tried this restaurant for lunch order on July 18, 2020. We ordered online for "to go" because the whole covid-19 situation. Our food was fresh hot and accurate. The portions were decent. But the price was too much not having any flavor or taste to it. For the amount of food that we got and what we paid we could have got more food for less money at other restaurants. We chose to try this restaurant from our relatives who said they had a good experience here. We don't share the same feelings. Sorry to say, but our first time here will definitely be our last.😒 I feel like I betrayed my usual Chinese restaurant spots in 520. Our family is unable to recommend Chef Wang for your families.

Our prior visits to this restaurant were excellent. This past Wednesday was a disaster. We invited friends to join us fully expecting to be delighted; all 4 of us had terrible meals. The shrimp with vegetables was tasteless and the portion of shrimp was meager unlike other dishes that we previously had.
It will be a long time before we return and with a twisting of our arms.

This is one of the nicest chinese restaurants in town. The food was prepared properly and overall tasted delicious. The prices are reasonable. Service was quick and the restaurant ambiance is nice with glass windows all around.

We have been there twice excallent food and a vierity, love fried rice, mangolian beef, there soups and appertizers excellant. We came from Boston and just and chinese just as good.

We used to love this place but on April 30, my husband and I both got food poisoning. His beef pot was disgusting, with a very, very heavy clove taste. My eggplant with pork, although it looked attractive, was bland and EXTREMELY greasy. We both were so sick all last night and into today. Don't waste your money -- That was $96 and change we will never see again, and not worth it at all.

Had dinner at this place on a Friday night. They need to get their act together. Waited over 30 minutes after searing for 2 large bowls of soup for our party of 9. Ordered several main dishes which were served at random. Food ok. Service stinks

We had the Jingdong meat pie as an appetizer and it was outstanding. For the entrees, water boiled beef, and tofu pot. Great flavors. Wine was good and everything was reasonably priced. This place has earned a place in our rotation

Enjoyed a number of choices (all shared) at this place the other night. The cold mushroom and seaweed salad is a great starter, as are the dumplings. We moved on to the pork ribs, and (my favorite) hot beef with scallions. The other dish was a vegetable choice called (I believe) A-choy as opposed to Bok Choy. Anyway, very tasty and great complement to the other dishes. Four of us polished off two nice cold pitchers of Kirin which worked great with the food. Service was prompt and professional, and all dishes were attractively plated. Can't wait to return. Did I mention the prices were great?

This is NOT your usual Chinese restaurant. The menu is in an album with photos of each dish plus descriptions in English and Chinese. The menu has just a couple well known dishes. Most are for the adventurous
The portions are large and come with rice. I had General Tsao's chicken with hot tea. Excellent. I will return

Our friends found this new Chinese restaurant on the near in east side. We are glad they did. Good food, a very interesting menu with some very unusual dishes, generous sized portions and reasonable prices. The wait staff is friendly and tries to be helpful but there is a bit of a language problem. Fortunately the menu has pictures of the various dishes and that is helpful. A good sign was the large number of Asian people who chose to eat here. We have been looking for good Chinese food here in Tucson and Chef Wang's might just be the end of our search. It is well worth trying.

This, my third visit to Chef Wang, ended in disappointment. I ordered the marinated octopus with carrots and cucumbers for $13.99; what arrived, while tasty, was marinated squid. I finally convinced the server it was, in fact, squid and asked for a price adjustment (octopus costs about three times as much as squid). The manager got involved and insisted that the price was listed on the menu and that was the price to be paid. When I said it was octopus on the menu and not squid, I got nowhere. Finally, the manager agreed to give a 10% discount on that dish, only.
I am deeply dissatisfied and feel unheard and mistreated. There was no apology or explanation, only an insistence that the menu price applied regardless of what mollusk was brought to the table. Based on the reaction, and lack of any intent to please the customer, neither my wife or I will return to this restaurant.

Tucson is not known for Chinese food. Mexican yes, Chinese no. But this place was tried based on the recommendation of a client and we loved it. Tasty, good portions and fits the budget.
