Our standards are obviously pretty high when it comes to restaurants but Gracie’s exceeded our expectations in multiple way. The place is beautifully decorated and it creates a calm environment unlike many other upscale restaurants who cramp tables into small spaces so you end up...in a loud and uncomfortable setting. The service personnel was top notch and extremely knowledgeable from both the food but especially the beverage side. They were able to pair wines with our food without having to call an over the top sommelier. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. So in summary an incredible experience and we will definitely come back. Keep up the awesome work!More

We use Gracie’s for special occasions. And they do an excellent job in this regard. It seems to me that many of the negative reviews are not well founded. On our last visit however all the food was delicious but to some degree the service for...an upscale restaurant was disappointing. Maybe just a bad night for them. In any case we will be back.More

It is refreshing to still find a dining establishment that adheres to high standards. Sometimes we tire of Pub food; the type of places that feature large-portion dishes that I consider beer-friendly grub,(Barbecues, burgers, fried foods, Mac n cheese,) along with the casual diner style...wait service. Gracie’s is expensive but well worth the price. We were seated promptly on a quiet Wednesday evening; we were the only diners at 5 pm. All wait staff were dressed in black and our waiter was of the ‘old-school’type, discreet and quiet-spoken. He was knowledgeable and quickly answered questions I asked- A young woman promptly appeared with a basket of freshly made focaccia, accompanied by herbal butter. The bread was tasty. Complimentary bread service is usually a sign of a good restaurant. I ordered the duck breast, it arrived perfectly cooked as ordered: medium rare and tender. My wife ordered the halibut. It arrived slightly Dry. The standout dish was the beet salad; it arrived fresh and crispy, with crunchy strips of fennel, nestled upon a mound of soft ricotta. An excellent contrast in textures and taste. We also enjoyed their creme brûlée. It arrived crunchy on top with a soft interior. All in all, it was an enjoyable dining experience. Gracie’s is a fine-dining establishment, and I highly recommend them. ~tiaotse~More

The 5 course tasting menu was not well curated. Serving bread and butter to start with Japanese inspired fluke followed by Italian orecchiette does not allow for an experience to build upon. The dessert of small cheese cake bites was also disappointing- reminded me of...something I’ve purchased in the freezer section at Trader Joes. Not thrilled to have spent nearly $600 for this experience.More

Some dishes were good (e.g. the foie gras), some were not as good (the steak and the duck). Desserts were mediocre. Service was very friendly but not without hiccups. If you happen to be in Providence and desire a decent upscale meal, there aren't that...many options to choose from anyways, so you may want to consider Gracie's.More

For our 1 year wedding anniversary, we made reservations for the 5 course chef’s tasting dinner which was a blind tasting for all courses. The service and hospitality at Gracie’s was outstanding. Right when we walked through the door, at least 2-3 people wanted to...make sure we were being helped as we waited to be seated. The attentiveness was remarkable. We were seating in this private alcove table, with confetti decor & a happy anniversary card on the table for our special occasion!!! SO thoughtful. We were greeted with complimentary champagne from Lindsey, who was absolutely incredible. Her service was pleasant, kind, humorous, and just met our energy!!! We loved her and she made our evening so special. She even surprised us with mini espresso martinis for dessert… does it get much better? The 5 courses were genius, delicious, detailed, and just overall the best meal we have had. The first course, the tuna watermelon was probably our favorite….. although to pick a favorite is hard! The homemade gnocchi was also a favorite. Everything was just outstanding and we cannot thank Gracie’s enough for the hospitality and the experience. Thank you!! Alexa & AlexMore

We deliberately booked a room in Providence just so we could celebrate our wedding anniversary in our favorite restaurant, Gracies. Much has changed, we noticed, and all for the better. There does not seem to be any more banquettes along the window front of the...restaurant. Nonetheless, we booked our reservation for our favorite table- a booth for two in an alcove. We decided to order the five course tasting menu- and with wine pairings. Each course was a real treat, and a real display of the kitchen's creative talents. Highlights were a succulent gnocchi with lamb ragout, cod served with crispy artichoke hearts, and the best breast of duck we've had yet. Wine pairings were unique and featured, among others, wines from Piedmont, Austria, Spain, and Portugal. The service was very accommodating, friendly, and still professional. The tasting menu was capped off with a "Haitian Pride" cake, a unique dessert featuring garnish of sweet plantains, pineapple mango salsa, and dollops of goats milk yogurt. Each serving with a lighted candle. Magnifique! A wonderful way to celebrate our anniversary. We'll be back.More

I went to Gracie's on a Sunday night. The food was delicious. The service was wanting. The second bottle of wine was thrown into the wine bucket and wine server scurried off when I told the server the wine needed to chill a bit more...before it was served. When I asked a second server we were ready for the wine I was told it wasn't that server's job. When the check arrived printed on the bottom of the bill a serving charge was already added to the bill.More

The 5-course menu is good, and sometimes even very good, but offers little in terms of personality. A tasting menu should be the love child of the chef, and Gracie's was more the legitimate offspring of an arranged marriage: well-behaved and respectable, but not a...product of passion (one outliner was the squash that came with the duck course, it was probably the highlight of the meal). Nevertheless, everything was tasty, and if it were ~30% cheaper it would be a good option for a straight-forward, quality dinner. If I go again, I would probably order from the a-la-carte. Service was excellent, friendly, but not overbearing. Very professional. Well-portioned courses, well-paced presentation. The entire evening was enjoyable, and everything in the front of house was very well-done. This is a good spot for those who enjoy the ceremony of "fine-dining", and are not looking for culinary adventure.More

Ambiance, impeccable service, stringent covid protocols. Our food was beautifully plated and it tasted amazing as well, especially the rigatoni and the duck. We shared a bottle of wine that our server recommended to us. It was a truly wonderful experience.

If you feel like spending a mortgage payment for your dinner to only end up still leaving hungry, this is the place to visit. Portion sizes are way too small. Prices are way too high. Worst of all, no flavor to your meal to justify...evening coming here. Bland and boring. Only giving 2 stars because the waitress was nice.More
