We were referred here by mutual friends who raved about the pizza - as did many others who waited a long time for their order to arrive. When our pizza came, it was plain AWFUL: the sauce was eek, the pizza was lame and overall this has got to be the second worst place on the Hill for food after... More

If you're in RI you have to have some pizza and a wimpy skimpy to make it official. Great price for food you get. Eat in or takeout.

Caserta has been around for a long time. That is usually a good sign something is right. They have a pretty simple menu. A handful of pizza options and a few other items including their wimpy skimpy. I always either get the cheese or the pepperoni(their only meat option) pizza and its always delicious. I go almost every time I... More

Pizza is delicious. I had a plain cheese and it was fantastic. Space needs a bit of work to loo a bit more presentable.

For those traveling through, the restaurant is just a block or two outside of a major Italian district of sorts. It looked like it was well-frequented by locals after a baseball game, with mostly choosing takeout. I think they cater to that, as it took 20+ minutes to get our order-in cheese pizza. And yes, it's very sparse inside, so... More

Came back again over my college reunion. And it is still the best. The place has not changed -- which is a good thing. Old school providence. Excellent pizza made fresh. It takes about 20 minutes for a pie, but it is worth it. Can't wait for my next trip back federal hill!

Large cheese pizza is huge and comes as a Sicilian style rectangle...although 1 probably isn't enough for 3 hungry teenage lacrosse players...great thick crust and texture, cheese and sauce are decent...but I don't know if I would make a pilgrimage here for it alone... There is counter service, with paper plates and plastic cups...you bus your own tables... Two large,... More

Classic - original - amazing pizza, Caserta is a legend on the Hill. They make a completely different style Pizza then Bob & Timmy's down the way, but both are amazing! To attest - we bought pizza from both locations one evening and tried to decide which was better... by the time they were gone, no one could choose a... More

For many years, Casertas was one of the best around. Only a few selections, but what they did serve was excellent. I don't know if they've gotten sloppy or use a different distributor but it doesn't taste as good. And they are getting skimpy on the sauce. If I wanted just dough and cheese, I'd order a grilled cheese. I... More

I don't understand people who review this place and say this is a good restaurant. We made a point to come to Federal Hill to eat in this area. This restaurant came us as one of the "best"...really? The place is just tables and chairs, NO atmosphere, but we were willing to overlook that and the slight smell if the... More
