I grew up in Rhode Island, and though I live in New York City, I go back about five or six times a year. Bought a tiramisu cake there this week for a birthday, and it was out of this world! Impressive looking as well- top notch all around. Everything else looked fantastic, too. Fifty years have gone by- how... More

I stopped here for breakfast with a few friends on the way out of town. We had some pastries and breakfast sandwiches and coffee. Everything we had was really tasty. I would love to try the cakes and other items another time!

La Salle Bakery is my favorite bakery in Rhode Island. Every time I go in there I want to buy everything! Their cakes, pastries, brownies and more are so fabulous. They look gorgeous and taste fabulous. I never can leave without a box of delicious pastries. My favorites are their brownies, cannolis and chocolate mini tortes. Absolutely scrumptious. And everyone... More

You go to: Rainbow Bakery in Cranston for Rye Bread or Sisal Bread Seven Stars in Providence for French Rye. Buono's in Johnston for Rustic Italian. Olga's in Providence for Sourdough Bagels La Salle in Providence for their French Italian Bread. Crusty, chewy, dense. Just perfect. They don't make it this good in Florence.

This is a terrific neighborhood bakery and eatery. You can get beautiful fruit tarts, great breads (like the crusty French Italian loaf -- or is it the Italian French?), cakes, pastries, and sandwiches for lunch, such as ones with prosciutto and mozzarella. If you need to pick up a gift to take to a gathering, this is a great source... More

Everything this bakery does is perfect, down to the coffee. It's almost an art. All of their pastries are chilled, at an ideal temperature.

Stopped for a quick sweet treat and a coffee. This place is the real deal. Outstanding selection and the quality is exceptional. Open early and late. Coffee was excellent. Eat in beautiful atmosphere or take out - just get here.

The pastry was very good but we had difficulties with pick up and how the pastry was packaged. We asked that the pick up be at Smith st and our pastry was at Admiral. With all of our running around prior to our event having to go to another store was very inconvenient. In addition they put all 86 pieces... More

For 2 years in a row I've ordered birthday cake for my daughter for my daughter who attends Providence College. I love that they delivered the cake since we live out of town. It was a great surprise and the cake was fabulous according to my daughter and her friends!
