Food was great, service wonderfully professional. We had reserved a quiet table in the back but because they had a huge crowd (holiday weekend Sun) we were offered a table in the noisy front room (bar with professional wrestling on big screen) or to wait 30 plus min. for a quiet table. So we took the noisy front. Suprisingly, the... More

Recommended by someone on staff at the hotel I'm staying in. Tip: Go hungry. Portions are substantial. I opted for dinner of small plates: roasted brussel sprouts, polpette, and penne. It turned out that the small plates weren't so small. Needless to say I was full half way through the meal. Sat at the bar for dinner - which I... More

Service, food and atmosphere were outstanding (kudos to Gaby!) Complimentary valet parking is bonus. The bruschetta and calamari balsamico appetizers were delicious. We were a party of 5 and each one of us enjoyed our meal, although the swordfish special that we were warned was spicy was way too spicy, overly spicy despite the fact the person who ordered it... I don't often over eat when we're out, but I couldn't help it here. Everything we ordered was fantastic. The balsamic calamari appetizer was among the best I've ever had. The (huge)meatball appetizer, very tasty. Our mains: The Frutti de Mar - fresh, perfectly cooked, loaded with seafood with a beautiful, light wine sauce. The Spaghetti Bolognese - out of... More

The Best Bolognese I have had in recent memory. Great service. A very nice atmosphere which includes a lively lounge up front with street view dining, and a larger dining room in the back to support larger parties.

I heard good things so I tried it out. I won't waste time going back. Food is just ok. With so many great Italian places to eat on 'the hill' skip this one.

We like Siena in Providence and in East Greenwich and as it was close to the Vet's Auditorium, Providence was the perfect place. Our server Heather greeted us with a jovial attitude and great smile. The restaurant was very busy so early in the evening but Heather's service was great. We had not had Heather as a server but by... More

We have been to their Smithfield location and wanted to try Providence. Both restaurants are similar but have their own unique differences. I love them both. Between the food and the staff I would recommend you try it.

This is an Italian restaurant, but it's about much more than pasta. They often have great choices of meats with vegetables, and other types of meals. Their meat and cheese boards are awesome, and so are their desserts, The portions are more than generous. The restaurant is a bit on an elegant site, and people tend to wear a bit... More
