Charred Caesar with real anchovies and garlic toasts. Amazing clam chowder. We had that for lunch with cider and beer. Perfection. Nice job, GPub! We will be back. Great environment and friendly service too.

Food is mediocre at best. For a gastropub I expected a little more quality. That being said, I only had a burger, but it was one of the most bland and unappetizing burgers I've ever had.
Tried this place a couple of times and really wanted to like it but no luck. The space is very comfortable but the food although interesting needs improvement. Simple BLTA was a little overdone, bacon was very tough, hard to chew, and toast was a...little burnt. Husband enjoyed his burger. Like another reviewer whiskey list is not updated, poor waitress had to keep coming back to tell us what we ordered wasn’t available.More
We recently hosted a party here for our clients. Very laid back atmosphere with plenty of TVs, pool table and other games for fun.
Visitors GPub before John Mayer concert. They could find our reservation (open table) so gave us wonky table by the bar. I went back to show email and avoid them mixing up reservations for others; just got deer in headlights look. Vodka Seltzer tasted like...Vodka water. Wine came after I finished mediocre food. Will try a different place next time.More
is this nice little (ok, not so little) pub, with a really nice menu. Google Maps told us to take Dorrance street walking to dinner before a show at the VERY nearby PPAC last night. Thankfully there is a small sign out front as the...entrance takes you into an office building with no signs of a pub, but we could hear "restaurant noises" towards the back and followed our ears and noses to the stairs down to GPub. Nice "unfinished" space, with pool tables and foosball and lots of TVs and a good menu. Shared a spicy edamame and homemade beef jerky and then I had a really tasty "Grilled Cheese burger" (basically a bacon burger inside of a grilled cheese sandwich) with ok tater tots and she had the farmer's salad with a good piece of grilled salmon on top. $60 for all with tax/tip (no drinks). In and out in a little over an hour which was good as we had a show to catchMore
We needed someplace to eat that was close to the hotel (Hampton Inn) that was still open on Sunday night. The food was so good we went back the next day for lunch. I highly recommend dishes off the small plates, they really aren’t that...small (looking at you tater tot poutine).More
I went with a large group and there is plenty of seating for large groups here. The drinks were delicous and I would drive an hour from MA to have their chicken tacos again. They were delicious. Wait staff was friendly and accommodating.
Fun bar with ample table seating, fun games, and great food and drinks. However, you likely will not have any cell service, so plan with friends accordingly!
My husband and I popped into GPub for lunch prior to the matinee show at PPAC. Doug the bartender was amazing. He was very attentive and recommended his favorites for my husband who could not decide. I ordered the Ahi tuna, soba noodle salad. Delicious....My husband ended up with some sort of burger. Sorry I couldn't tear away from my salad to see what he ordered :) Looking forward to my next trip to Providence so I can go there again. The place is huge, with a lounge area and pool tables. I would highly recommend it for a group.More
this is a pub.. so expect accordingly.. good food and drink, energetic vibe.. pool table.. overall fun place
The vibe seemed nice upon entering and getting seated. Then we all noticed that the place is wall to wall televisions and each one is set to a sports channel. We didn't expect a sports bar, but we didn't mind it. There were other tables...there and everyone seemed upbeat so we ordered. We ordered the barbacoa with slaw, the gochujang wings and some large plates to share. We aren't food critics, but we were there with an affluent restaurant owner and the general consensus was that each item we ordered had something either missing or slightly off. I will say the gochujang wings everyone found to be nearly perfect, I would honestly go back just for them. Another thing we found off putting was that we had water glasses on the table along with a carafe of water. When we topped off our water glasses there was a strong off-putting taste that we know came from the carafe, so we ordered more water and asked for a different carafe. Same issue. Literally left an odd taste in our mouths. Our wait staff evaporated and we became "those people" you know, the ones that walk to the front of the restaurant to pay their bill - yep, that was us. It took another 10 minutes to pay and settle one tab. I have heard such nice things about this place, but this certainly seemed an off night for the G Pub. Sorry to say, I don't see myself going back nor recommending this place to anyone.More
Met some friends at the bar for drinks after work. Located in downtown where parking is challenging. Ended up paying $10 to park in an open air lot Atmosphere was great and pretty crowded. They offered half priced apps before 6. Ordered the nachos and...egg rolls. Both were delicious. We ate them all Just a bit disappointed I had been wanting to try a new whiskey I saw on their menu but they unfortunately did not have it. Great place to meet up with friends. Definitely go backMore
We were suggested this sports pub by our hotel desk. We usually enjoy having the TV's available for "viewing". The food was good, it had TV's, but the additional noise from the pool and foos ball tables made chatting a little difficult. The Autumn Burger...was FANTASTIC! I asked for Mac & Cheese, thinking I would have a $1 upcharge as was advertised for other options...Nope...$3.00 AND...I had "water" with a lime slice. I should have checked my receipt carefully before approving...I was charged $2 for "soda water"...???? Hubby had the Grilled Cheese Burger...it had "double buns"....bun/cheese/bun/burger fixings/bun/cheese/bun. He removed the outer buns & scraped the cheese onto the burger. He said the french fries were "okay"...More
We came to Providence, Rhode Island to see the WaterFire. We were very hungry and decided to eat but didn’t want to spend a fortune either. We wanted something that was within walking distance. We seen this restaurant pop up on a search and decided...to try it out. I was VERY IMPRESSED!!!!! This bar/restaurant is downstairs and serves the typical bar food on the menu. The food is outstanding here! The drinks were made very well. Not watered down or made with lack of liquor. The popcorn shrimp with old bay seasoning was fabulous and the G Nachos with Pulled Pork was incredible!!! Service was great and we got a table to eat immediately. Would definitely recommend this place if you are searching for a quick bite to eat and or bar food that doesn’t suck. Stephanie C THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR WONDERFUL SERVICE. She was wonderful and made our visit here a pleasant one.More
