Wow! I have been in a constant search to find a great brunch spot, and this was by far the best breakfast I’ve had in years. The place was ADORABLE, and our server Vinny was so sweet & attentive. Thank you for making going out...to eat a normal, enjoyable experience again. I sincerely hope CAV has survived this ordeal, and now can THRIVE because it is a wonderful restaurant. Thank you!More

This is a cozy and fun spot for a weekend brunch, with great staff and a very delicious menu. The brioche French toast is sweet, but really quite good. The coffee is always perfect.

What a great place in Providence...off the beaten path, but worth it.... amazing food, service, eclectic decor and easy parking.... food choices--we had filet, scallops chicken in our group and everyone loved what they ordered...great selection of wine and cocktails as well. They have installed...state of the art ventilation and fans to clean the air as well.More

I dined here as part of a holiday party with my work. The food is excellent and the servers are wonderful, but I'm glad my employer footed the bill. I never would have eaten there on my own at those prices. Then again, you get...what you pay for.More

CAV used to be a wonderful place for a special occasion. My husband and I came for Valentine's, not having eaten here for over a year. The meal we had could have been prepared by a child, it was so pathetic. At least it was...edible. Too bad, this used to be such a nice place.More

A great restaurant space filled with funky decor but still evokes a warm and romantic vibe. The non-fried calamari is fantastic and two of us had the tuna which was amazing. The service was attentive but not annoying....highly recommend!

Very neat decor. It’s quirky but still classy. Food is excellent and drinks were good as well. Fairly large but still seems cozy. They have a parking lot as well which is a big plus in the city.

Interesting antique decor fills the small space of this restaurant. It is warm and inviting, great atmosphere. My wife and I went here for our anniversary and we had a wonderful experience. The food pairings were unique and quite delectable! I had the poulet aux...poires with red pears poached in wine, ginger pear sauce, over chive dumplings, and my wife had the diver's scallops and shrimp. The best part of our dining experience was dessert. The chocolate mousse with meringue crust and chocolate meringue cookies was in the top 5 of the best desserts I have had. I highly recommend a visit to Cav. You will enjoy.More

What a beautiful restaurant! Service was wonderful, food really good and we happened to be there on a Wednesday night and loved the live jazz music. It was a very enjoyable evening.

Dinner with colleagues in February. Promptly seated and offered drinks. Everyone was satisfied with their alcohol. The menu was detailed and appetizing, with a couple of specials that evening. I ordered the scallops and shrimp. A basket of warm bread and whipped butter made the...rounds. Dining at Cav is like dining in an antiques shop. The tables are surrounded by an eclectic collection of old furniture, art, rugs, and bric a brac. I don't know whether any of this is for sale but it all adds to the ambience. There's a warm, homey feeling, and a large bar takes up one side of the room. So everyone was very pleased with their choices, whether it was the halibut, duck, polenta, or in my case, scallops and shrimp. Vey fresh, perfectly done, and extremely satisfying. Cav has been around awhile, and the good restaurants persist. They have to be good because the competition is stiff in Providence. I'd recommend this place for a quite romantic dinner, a work group get together, or a family celebration. Pricey but the food, service, and atmosphere are tops.More
