We stopped in on Sunday for Brunch. I was hit was a fantastic Bloody Mary and then enjoyed some clams and oysters! We the had some family join us and moved to a table. The staff was very helpful getting the table ready for us. It was a great atmosphere and we really enjoyed ourselves. I had to have the... More

Yummy sushi and oysters. The other stuff not so much and expensive e.g. the Scallops wrapped in bacon - a classic but a bit overcooked and they should just focus on the fish itself not overwhelm with meat around it and too much butter sauce. But that sushi and oysters were worth the visit, as was the amazing guy behind... More

As you walk in you'll be assaulted by the strong odor of stale beer and seafood. Staff was professional but looked unhappy. Food was ordinary. We walked here from our hotel because of some good reviews but were disappointed. Won't be going back.

Bit disappointed with the oysters as there were kind of bland and didn't have that essence of sea taste. Could just be the wrong season for them though. BUT the cherrystone and little neck clams were superb if you are looking to eat them raw. Very impressed with the Faroe Island salmon. The zucchini "pasta" were thin as angel hair.... More

Fancier than I expected, with white tablecloths and professional service. Exceptional raw bar - oysters were super-fresh, briny and delicious, as were the raw clams. The clear clam chowder was very good - we don't have that on the west coast. Caesar salad was large, extra-crisp and tasty. Full bar, large wine list. Meals come with variety of bread and... More

I always like coming in for a drink and appetizers at the bar. But last time I came for dinner I had the baked lobster with bread crumbs and butter and it was the most unbelievable, rich, buttery lobster dish I ever had. Its not something you can have all the time but wow, was it great!

In the middle of a sea of Italian restaurants, Providence Oyster Bar provides an excellent seafood alternative. Appears to have a great happy hour but we had lunch. Very good chowder and the lobster roll was to die for.
