Ok, first things first. The food is excellent. No question. And fairly priced despite other reviews to the contrary. But the upstairs is just so LOUD that we won't be back anytime soon. Ok, I get it. Loud rooms project fun, excitement, and buzz. No one likes a dead restaurant. But this was so so so over the top that... More

Sure it is a bit pricey, but then this is not Gregg's or Pizza Hut. What is it is amazing. A mid-week dinner for two around 7ish - no issues with parking - parked about half a block away right on the street at no cost. We seated with two minutes. Lovely outdoor seating on the patio with a pergola... More

Was in town to visit friends and they suggested Al Forno, as one of the go-to places where you'd take out-of-town visitors. First things first: they don't take reservations. Maybe that's part of the hype. It's actually rather pretentious. Second, parking isn't easy, at least if you don't want to pay. We walked. As for the service, very friendly and... More

The food here is spectacular, try the margharita pizza and you'll be amazed, also don't skip the dessert, they are all made to order and are delicious, we have been coming here 2 to 3 times a year for the past 20 years and have never been disappointed

We were amazed at the food, friendliness of the staff and excellent service. We sat at the outdoor bar and had a lovely glass of Rose Prosecco while waiting for Al Forno to open at 5:00pm. Our dinner was truly amazing. The Margarita pizza is a must and is the best we have had outside of Italy. We loved the... More

We were there at 5 on 6/28 ready for a fantastic meal. Baked eggplant was terrible and $25; thick cut with tough skin. Fluke special was dry with some potatoes, $33; are you kidding. Never again! Service was great as was the chocolate bread pudding but not good enough to get us back. Valet attendant should be taught to smile!

We stopped by for a margarita pizza and a bottle of wine. Both were good. The hostess was a little cold, I would think a friendly hostess would be a a critical position in any restaurant.

By far the best pizza in Rhode Island with seasonal creations that tempt every diner. The duck confit is out of this world as well as the roasted chicken. The beverage selection is above average for a fine dining restaurant with an extensive wine list available. Trick: call before arriving to add your party to the waitlist...

this is hands down the best restaurant i have been to in years. the pizza is a must and the dirty steak not on the menu but available anytime is truly superb. the rhubarb upside down cake too is a must and should be ordered at the placement of the entree.

At last the stars aligned: for once we'd be in Providence on a day they were open, AND early enough to beat the lines at our bucket list destination, Al Forno. I hesitate to give a bad review, because they were kind enough to seat us right away (I called from the car and was put on a phone list... More
