A small, friendly restaurant with excellent Sichuan food. We had perfectly cooked dry-fried string beans; chewy hand-pulled noodles with cumin and shrimp, and a truly amazing Sichuan pepper braised fish: silky pieces of fish with some vegetables, in a great pot of spicy broth full of chilies. The portions were very generous, and my wife and I took home enough for another dinner. The bill before tip was just over $60.

We had another great lunch today... I love their Mei Fun, light and well prepared. Our table also had a chicken and broccoli dish (lots of chicken, lots of flavor), a scallion pancake (nice and crisp but not a lot of scallion flavor) and a wanton soup (a bit too salty for my taste).
The service was average, but the food is really good. The menu is so extensive, you can find something that you will like, from steamed to fried....from vegetarian to meat based....Just great food....

At 188 Taunton Ave, Chong Quin has a take out restaurant. Menu on line. Very extensive. All varieties of apps, soups, sea food, chicken and beef dishes. Even some meals billed as DIET meals!
Order on line. Curb side pick up, or walk in and pick up. When you enter, you are virtually surrounded by plastic separating you from inside the cookie area. No seat ing in this venue.
Food was delicious. About $20/person. Shrimp and eggplant was awesome. My wife tried a traditional Chinese dish of Scrambled eggs with tomatoes. For me, this was surprisingly delicious.
We'll go back!

We stumbled on this restaurant several months ago and I could live on their Dan Dan Noodles. We especially like the smoked tofu with pork too! One of the most authentic Chinese restaurants in RI is not off the mark or an exaggeration.

After several days of eating Italian during Columbus Day weekend we wanted a change of pace and stopped here. This was a good choice. The restaurant has three different dining areas. We chose to sit in the area near the front. Our server was quick to take care of us. We ordered the pork fried rice, pork dumplings and some noodles with broth. The pork dumplings were very spicy but not overbearing. The sauce was delicious, I could have used the sauce on everything because it packed so much flavor. The pork fried rice was very tasty and enough to share amongst ourselves. The noodles and broth was good, not my personal favorite but my grandson enjoyed it.

a great time was had by all. that is the old saying but now it was true.
we shared many dishes and it was so much fun and tasty as well.
It is not a huge place as most places on the street here are not large but it was able to handle our party of eight. the server was very good and explained many dishes to us. They seem to have a special chinese menu for those who are used to local style chinese and a menu for those who want a little more authentic chinese. All the food came out hot, rice dishes were very tasty and those with beef or seafood were outstanding. This is a great find and a good place for a family to go.

Went with my kids and dad. They had a section of American Chinese food that made my kids happy. My teen, dad and I really appreciated the hot pot. They made it medium for us and it was still quite spicy, so be prepared for that. It is full of many yummy and interesting things like lotus root and shrimp. Loved our waiter, Eddie and there is even parking in the back! The whole family hopes to return soon.

Went back yet again to Chong Qing House, as the student in the family loves the tasty, cheap food. But this time the hot and sour soup was unevenly microwaved, cold in spots, lukewarm in others. (At least it means that they didn't stick a finger in the soup to see if it was warm. Please folks, invest in a thermometer!) Tofu dishes continue to be excellent, as was the braised pork, but the orange beef was served without any vegetable to perk up the dish. It was too plain.

We heard about this restaurant thru yelp and decided to give a try for a simple lunch. The menu was quite extensive for a lot of spicy & spicier dishes. They also have luncheon menu that come with soup & a main dish. The spicy eggplant was one our choice with white rice & hot & sour soup, both were tasty but we prefer hot"temperature" soup not warm. The other dish was the Shanghai noodle with beef and it was well prepared.

Open for a about 6 months, this small restaurant serves a great, cheap lunch menu. We had soup and entree with rice and tea for just $7.95. Not typical "American Chinese" their choices were cooked in authentic Chinese style. The Ma Po Dofu was great, as was the Eggplant with garlic sauce. Soups were good, too.
