Interior was a bit drab but view was spectacular . Decent selection of tap beers. Lunch menus was rather small but three people found an item to enjoy. Service was good, better than average fish and chips.

We have loved this rustic building and the restaurant over the years. But sadly this summer and again last night the food was terrible. We found the calamari and accompanying sauces tasteless. I had the duck and risotto and they were both well below average. My husband had the buffalo rueben and he couldn't eat the buffalo. The manager was... More

Were told by the front desk staff that we could eat breakfast there the next day but it was closed. It closes for private events apparently with out much notice.

The night we were there, the waitstaff was short a couple of people, but that didn't affect our dinner at all - our waiter (Craig) had a great sense of humor, and took care of bar tending while also waiting on several tables (and was really hustling!). The food was wonderful too - I had the elk chops, and my... More

I've always enjoyed the restaurant at St Mary's Lake Lodge and have always dined on the patio to enjoy the wonderful view. Their new chef creates some exciting entree choices, I had the Elk Chops, and while I'm not a risotto fan, their fresh sage and pecan risotto was excellent. I've always been able to find an interesting bottle of... More

Great views of Mary's Lake below. Dinner was above-average and we enjoyed the experience overall. Interesting menu items. It was fun to read the history of the place (even with the typos!!).

I go to the tavern restaurant here 3 or 4 times a year. The food is very good and the views are amazing. That being said, last time we were there there were seven of us. The waitress was just probably having a bad day. She didn't get drinks, bills and food orders right. To top of the experience, there... More

We had dinner here along with some friends. The atmosphere is very nice with great views if you are seated by the windows or outdoor on the balcony. Three of us ordered rib eye steaks which were good but not great. Two of the steaks were overdone. Our friend who is a chef ordered the duck and she said it... More

Great views. That's about it. Very dirty restaurant, someone clean the glass please! Our waiter was also dirty and smelled like unwashed work clothes. Certainly overpriced for the quality. The French onion soup was OK, a little heavy on the garlic and rosemary. Flavorless wedge salad. How can blue cheese be tasteless? Fish and chips was decent. I enjoyed the... More

Went for dinner and was very impressed. Enjoyed sitting outside looking over the mountains and lake. I would call this fine dining at a reasonable price. Bar area was very busy & everyone was having a great time. This could be a romantic couples evening in the dining room or a family fun night in the bar!
