We loved Rock Inn Mtn Tavern. They don't take reservations & we were there during peak aspen & elk viewing season, but it was well worth the wait of about 30 minutes that we spent chatting with other friendlies at the bar. Food, service, & music were the best! Outstanding food & service in a friendly, rustic atmosphere. Live music... More

We found this restaurant based on a Google search and we are definitely glad that we did. The food was hearty and unique. My husband ordered a bacon wrapped meatloaf that came with creamy mashed potatoes and sauteed kale, while I enjoyed the vegetable medley with elk sausage. The medley came with a variety of kale, mushrooms, butternut squash, cashews,... More

Long time I did not have a nice meal : ordered the trout and it was just perfect along with creamy mash potatoes and asparagus. Burgers were good as well I heard. Staff is very nice. We waited an hour and were a bit puzzled by the table organisation but it seems to work at the end/

We went twice on our stay because the atmosphere and food were awesome! Would highly recommend. They had live music one night and a fire inside and out. The menu was large enough to please most people.

The Rock is a down to earth eatery with years of history and a place the locals love. A casual, relaxed, and comfortable environment. The food is awesome and the staff is really friendly. The menu is not extensive, but enough choices for everyone. The steaks are awesome. A can't miss choice for travelers!

Went here on a Thursday and the wait was an hour and a half. We managed to grab some seats at the bar. I was starving and the service was fast. I had a veggie burger and it was not good. The nice part was the bartender saw how little of it I ate and so she didn't charge me... More

Close by our lodging. The food is always good and mid-priced. A little loud for conversation more like an old western saloon. Short wait to get in. Thefood is always fresh and hot.

We visited all three of the top dinner spots according to TripAdvisor over the weekend and this was the only disappointment. I'm not sure why this place is so highly rated. The food is expensive by any standard for what you get. Our server was inattentive and we continually had to ask for things. It felt like we were bothering... More

My husband and I ate here twice on our recent visit to Estes Park. We thought the food was good and reasonably priced for a resort area. I would highly recommend a warm bowl. My husband had a steak and said it was one of the best he had ever eaten. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual.

We can't make a trip to Estes Park without eating at the Rock Inn in Estes Park. Delicious food from "Devils on Horseback" appetizers to the best steaks in town. All natural ingredients make everything delicious!

Open 7 days a week at 4pm Sunday Mornings we are serving Brunch from 10am to 2pm Built in 1937as a dance hall for the Big Band Era, The Rock continues to be a lively gathering place with local flair. In the winter, our two wood-burning stoves keep the room toasty for folks stopping in for a beer or a bite after playing in Rocky Mountain National Park. During the summer season we enjoy stunning continental divide views from our outdoor dining patio. Our menu is an ever evolving blend of hand-crafted, hearty comfort food with a health and planet conscious twist. We aim to fill you up with goodness so you can get back to enjoying the mountains again tomorrow. We feature Certified Angus Beef, All-Natural Colorado chicken, fresh salads, whole grains, organic teas and coffees, local beers, sustainably produced wines, and a full bar. On Many Fridays after dinner, we set-up one of many original Colorado bands on our 76 year old stage, clear the dance floor and boogie all night. Some of the bands playing these days include Chain Station, James and the Devil, Old Town Pickers, The Sweet Lillies, Stringboard Theory, Cadillac Grip Funk, KC Groves, and many more. During the summer time, acoustic music acts play most other nights of the week, sunday nights are a mellower feeling as we host acoustic Colorado songwriters during dinner. You might catch Jon Pickett, Alex Thoele, Sarah Caton, Jay Roemer, Billy Shaddox, Jay Stott, or Terry Kishiyama and Ash Ganley. We also offer a great open bluegrass pick on Thursday nights lead by a few talented local musicians, either joining in on the pick or just sitting back and enjoying the bluegrass, tuesdays are a funny night of music. We look forward to having you join us. Reservations are not accepted, however if you want to give us a call, when you are on your way we will be happy to get a table ready for you or put you on the list. During the off-season there is rarely a wait. In July, August, and September it is best to get here before 6.
