Good to visit to get breakfast done. Since we were staying across the street at the Alpine Trail Ridge Inn, it was a no-brainer to stay here. During each of the 3 mornings we visited, the staff was a one-woman crew. Surprisingly, the wait wasn't too bad.

Heard this was a good place to get a steak. Salad good, bread delicious and atmosphere and view nice. Steak cooked just right.

There are two levels of restaurants--one less expensive (in the front) and one more expensive (in the back). Make a reservation for the back and by a window. The view is beautiful and as I remember several years ago it was very good food. This time we ate in the front. The two guys had an Elk Burger and a... More

The restaurant is away from the hustle-bustle and crowds downtown. We've eaten here several times over the past decade on vacations. The "terrible" reviews must have been due to isolated bad experiences. We've always had good food and delightful wait staff meals. Yesterday was no exception. Fine burger. They substituted onion rings at no extra cost. We previewed the dinner... More

Very good regional food. Also a nice selection of "different" foods like maple wild boar sausage, elk smoked links, and trout. The service was excellent and the food was exceptional. I'm not sure you can go wrong here!

Average summarizes the service, prices and food. I ordered a burger and fries which was - you guessed it - average, and my friend ordered the turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes. She was disappointed that it wasn't "real" turkey but deli sliced, the potatoes were just warm, but she liked the gravy. Altogether an average experience.

Breakfast is served "upstairs" and is a great value. Views are good. Dinner is served both up and down. We wanted the heartier menu so ate down, looking out on the pond. Husband not happy with tough steak "special" rubbed with chocolate, chili, coffee. My dinner was delicious however. We returned for breakfast the second time the next morning. Jessica made our... Four of us had dinner here this week. Our food was good, the service was good and the prices were reasonable. I had a burger and fries which were very good. My wife had chicken tenders and fries. The other couple had hot turkey with mashed potatoes.

We go here each visit to Estes. We may be stuck in a rut but it's a good one. The dining room is next to a small pond and has many ducks. It's very pleasant for a relaxing dinner. We try to sit near a window. Get there by 5:30 pm.
