Great celebration dinner at The View. Order included a filet and elk porterhouse. Cooked to perfection with great sauces and accompanying sides. The view is terrific in this historic lodge overlooking Estes Park. A little hard to find, but with directions, it is worth the search. Minutes from downtown, this restaurant is a real sleeper.

We went for our 30th Anniversary and truly enjoyed our dining experience. We were seated on a private balcony where I started with the Brie & Truffle soup and my husband had the Spinach/Artichoke Empanadas. The bordelaise sauce on the Filet Mignon was to die for, and my husband loved his Lobster Lasagne. For dessert we had the caramel sea... More

This is one restaurant where you know you are in Estes Park. The lodge is over a hundred years old, and all the atmosphere has been kept in the restaurant. We've dined there several times this summer and have been impressed with the quality and variety of the food. On one of our visits, there was some confusion about our... More

What a lovely, serene surprise in the middle of Estes Park. But you'd never know you're in the middle because this place is perched on a hillside away from the hustle and bustle. Beautiful views accompanied by well-prepared food and excellent service--who could ask for more?

Last night we had the extreme pleasure of dining at The View for our anniversary! What an amazing dining experience! I had made reservations and when we arrived our table was set on a private terrace overlooking Estes Park! Needless to say the food and service was fantastic! I had the filet and my husband had the lamb. What a... More

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Estes Park. We've dined there in all seasons and never been disappointed. From the authentic furnishings to the great views, it's worth the trip up the hill. Excellent staff: attentive and friendly. I've had their county chicken several times because it's just that good!

What's not to love about this place? A million dollar view, excellent food, a roaring fireplace and Scotty make it perfect. The staff is very considerate of the temperature in the restaurant to make sure the guests are comfortable and the ambiance is memorable. We will be back- probably for more perfect evenings- thank you!

After reading several reviews, I was concerned about making a reservation for this restaurant. However, I'm glad I over-rode my concerns and did so. My wife and I a had very good experience. For the first course, she chose the corn fritters and I had the Normandy Brie soup w/Truffle Oil. The fritters were light and particularly tasty with the... More

We went to The View Restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were looking for a special evening and were not disappointed. The server was attentive but not intrusive. We started with salads - both the Caesar and the Apple Gorganzola were fresh and tasty. The Sea Bass was as good as I have ever had. The Short Ribs were... More
