I had a burger and a beer (or two) for lunch and was very happy with the meal and the service. The menu is fairly extensive with a lot of options to choose from. The drink offerings are typical Colorado craft beers from local breweries. I really enjoyed the Long's Peak Raspberry Wheat. My burger was prepared exactly as I... More

It was our first time in Estes Park on our way to Rocky Mountain National Park so we decided to walk through downtown before deciding where to eat. Several times we caught the whiff of something wonderful... grilled meat! After several sniffs around, we arrived at The Grubsteak with our mouths watering. Upon arrival we were wended through a maze... More

Stopped here for lunch on our way into RMNP. The place is cute with lots of historic photos and decorations. My husband and I both ordered burgers and they were both average. They did have a nice selection of burger options including elk and buffalo.

Interesting restaurant in a circa 1902 building in the heart of downtown estes park, co with lots of memorabilia and vintage photos on the walls. Service was prompt and friendly. I had Shepard pie with elk meat. It was pleasant but not a show stopper. My wife's salmon was dry and not much flavor. Had the food been a bit... More

We went here for dinner because we had heard great things. My son ordered ribs off the kids menu and was very excited. When they came he mentioned they tasted funny and were too hot (and he loves spicy food) so we tried then and they were WAY to spicy. They were inedible. We notified our waiter.. his response was... A little pricey for mediocre food. Stopped for lunch in the off season. Food was ok. Staff was delightful though.

Best Yak Burger Ever...it was very juicy and the flavor was great. And a surprisingly lovely place - even when seated at the bar. Great service and recommendation for the staff. Can greatly recommend the place ;-)

From the front it appears to be just a little hole in the wall sort of place but there is a huge patio in the rear. The food was very good and included options such as Buffalo and other game in addition to beef. We ate there for lunch and returned 2 days later for dinner. Service was good and... More

Right in the heart of downtown Estes, reservations are a good idea in busy times. Off weekend, its easy to walk in. Prices can be a little steep for some entrees, but one can eat on a budget here.

The best burger of my vacation was the Grubsteak Yak burger. I've never had yak before and it was outstanding. I savored every bite and still dream of such a treat back home. Stop by for lunch and enjoy!
