We live near Estes and have been to many restaurants there. We sort of expect a lot of places to have a somewhat low standard for quality of service and food due to the high amount of tourists in the area. This place though, was beyond low in standards. All the staff were either too laid back and didn't give... More

You have to look carefully for this upstairs restaurant near the west end of Elkhorn Avenue, but it is worth the hunt. The food is very good and the portions are generous. The Rocky Mountain trout is a favorite.

The food is excellent. Our party had chicken Marsala, jäger schnitzel, Reuben and a ribeye. Everything was excellent. Our server, Sin, was professional and great to talk with.

We picked this place randomly and we're pleasantly surprised. The trout was good and our kids loved the French dip sandwich. The salad was also good...we're used to light green lettuce for dinner salads and they served nice dark green spinach leaves. Our waiter was very good, spot on the whole night with everything.

The Wild Rose is a nice dinner restaurant in Estes Park. They serve substantial portions--our party had leftovers. They do have a lot of German cuisine (sauerbraten, wienerschnitzel) and Rocky Mountain fare (trout). They are a bit pricey, but standard for Estes Park. The setting is a bit cramped, and it was too easy to pick up neighboring conversations. Maybe... More

We have eaten here before, but the staff struggled to seat our large party (3 different spots). From there, the servers failed to clear plates, failed to space out appetizers with the other courses, and seemed to be overwhelmed despite a quiet looking afternoon. The food was unremarkable, schnitzel was burned, elk overcooked... and the place (restrooms and a quick... More

Our dinner was good, but not outstanding. The kids loved their meals. The staff was very nice and service was good.

Ok food, nice location near downtown. Got quite busy but we dodged the crowd by going in a bit early!

After driving thru Rocky Mountain National Park from Grand Lake, we arrived in Estes Park...starving! It was a Saturday so people were everywhere. We picked this place randomly. We were seated quickly but a server didn't come and we were getting antsy. The host came back and apologized and from there on the experience was overwhelmingly positive. The host even... More
