I went to this restaurant because it was conveniently located in a strip mall close to work. I got the Kung Pao Chicken, my usual safe pick from the formulaic American Chinese menu. To my surprise, I found the dish to be at least one standard deviation above the rest. The spicing on the Kung Pao contained real chinese spices... More

Albuquerque has great Thai and Vietnamese food but falls short when it comes to authentic Chinese. You can easily miss Chopstix as it is tucked away in a strip mall on Lomas and San Pedro dwarfed by a large Smith's. It is small, unassuming and friendly with the best Chinese food I have eaten since moving to Albuquerque over 18... More

This small restaurant is not so easy to find, it's in a strip mall next to a market, but get on over here and have some lunch or dinner. You really feel like you are eating in someone's home, the staff is attentive, the food is really so good, and although it takes just a little bit longer (very little... More

Great lunch specials, great staff and a great price. The jalapeno chicken is the bomb! They are good at remembering frequent customers.

We arrived just before the rush so were seated promptly. The menu appeared to be fairly typical Mandarin style. We had Mu Shu pork and sesame chicken. The atmosphere was understated, large tables had turntables in the center for family-style sharing. THE BEST part of the decor were the 8.5x11 sheets of paper lining the walls at chair-rail height advertising... More

We had heard that Jackie Chan had stopped by there when he was in town. We figured he must have heard it was good, so we decided to check it out for lunch. The prices were reasonable ($6.25-$6.95/lunch meal) and the service was fine; the ambiance that of a typical modest Chinese restaurant. But the food was terribly bland and... More

We came in for other reasons, but were happy we stayed for the food. Tucked into a little strip mall near a Smith's grocery store, Chopstix was extremely busy on a Friday evening. Much of the clientele appeared to be repeat customers. Just very happy to find a chinese restaurant that hasn't followed the trend of the past decade or... More

Pretty and friendly servers. In the fair plaza where Smith's and hasting's are. Mostly 4 person tables along three walls with 2 ten person round tables in the middle section. Mostly Szechuan style food on the menu. Reservations can be taken. Can call in and pick up. Seating nearer the front of shop can be on the colder side. Menu... More

My family and extended family have for the past decade counted Chopstix as one of our very favorite restaurants ever. Chef Wen(sp) is a master! She and her staff present expertly prepared and skillfully seasoned dishes. Chef Wen is from Beijing, and brings her own flare to the menu with many regional specialties offered for more curious eaters, standard Chinese... More
