Having just come from visiting Santa Fe and eating at the top restaurants there, we weren't expecting too much in Albuquerque. After doing a little research, Zinc Wine Bar intrigued us. It turned out to be a very nice dining experience. As is my usual first hurdle to overcome, the Server got me my blue cheese stuffed olives for my... More

Thank you for you review. We try to make sure that we get as much local product as possible. Our menu does change with each season and we will be changing to our winter menu at the end of this month. Hopefully you will dine with us again when you are back in town. Thank you Ralph More

We are upstairs after the Christmas concert. It was after the rush so service was prompt and it was quieter than I would expect earlier in the evening. Nice level of vegetarian selections, but the steak was excellent as well. We were not ready to party, but young head downstairs for live music after if you are in the mood

Zinc was recommended to us by the maitre'd at Artichoke Cafe (Artichoke was booked up) so we took a chance and we were greatly rewarded. The wait staff was attentive, well-informed, courteous, and very personable. The duck confit, as an appetizer, was enough for my main course and was quite excellent. My wife's Malbec (a recommendation by our server, Rachel):... More

We did not high expectations for dining in Albuquerque, driving around it was mostly fast food and chain restaurants. We came across a review for Zinc, and decided to try it. What a pleasant surprise. It's a big place, three levels, the basement is a music lounge, we were sorry there was no music the night we went - a... More

... a celebratory dinner. The waiter was knowledgeable and responsive. We were in a group of eight. A variety of appetizers, entrees, and wines were selected with good reports from my fellow diners on all of them. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that I think the food itself may be a little pricier... More

About a mile from the Courtyard Airport and right next to the UNM campus. Excellent menu selections. I recommend the bralised duck and their onion soup which is fantastic.Desserts are standard fare. If you don't get your bread by the time of your first serving ask for it. My was delivered during the dessert course.Depending on the crowd, it can... More

Seated immediately, had the pleasure of Caine as our server. Wonderful suggestions, great wine special. Business associate had Manhattan Seafood Chowder to start, then on to Ahi Tuna, I enjoyed the pear salad to start then had chicken saltimbocca for main course. Topped off with heavenly chocolate coconut cream pie. Outstanding experience!

I took my wife here for a surprise dinner out. She ordered a chicken special and I had the lamb tenderloin. My wife's seemed like it was undercooked, but was ok. Mine was good but came with what looked like a potato lasagna, which I was told was a scalloped potato. It was really dry. I was hoping for a... More

After living here for 3 years, I decided it was time to try this place out. The open air feel of the venue is pleasant; lots of light coming in. Despite the openness, it was quite easy to carry on a conversation at our table of six. I was not feeling well and the waitress picked up on it right... More

I thought the waiter was a little hurried but other than that it was a wonderful experience the Steak Frite which is what I had was delicious and everyone else's entree seemed really nice and they enjoyed it immensely!

Zinc is a lively three level bistro in Historic Nob Hill. Featuring an open, urban ambiance, Zinc offers casual fine dining on the main level and the loft mezzanine. For those looking for an exciting show, the exhibition bar offers seats right along the open kitchen. The menu focuses on high quality - yet affordable - American bistro fare and utilizes seasonal ingredients, many of which are sourced from local farmers. The Cellar Bar offers the same extensive wine list and premium cocktails as the upstairs, but in a more intimate lounge atmosphere with a lighter menu. The Cellar also showcases live music on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday nights, and a DJ every Friday. Visit www.zincabq.com for menus, pictures, and upcoming events!
