Perfect Place for Southwestern food!

I stopped in Albuquerque for the night on my way from Denver to Flagstaff. I was looking for some good southwester cuisine, and I was not disappointed! I was dining solo, so I asked the waiter to bring me "whatever is typical and traditional for the region." It was soooooo yummy! They know how to... read more

Solid New Mexican food. The salsa and margarita's are real standouts! Beautiful patio with a waterfall and pond. Had both the posole and green chili since I couldn't decide and both were great. Beware the food is fairly spicy here, but hey that's the way it should be!!

I always look forward to their breakfast burritos. Possibly the best in town. Their other dishes are good as well. Good rellenos and stuffed sopapillas. Service is usually so-so but they do carry-out.

This restaurant is a great little find. Good margaritas and the food is always tasty. Very nice outside seating when the weather is nice. Love it and always come back to eat here when in Albuquerque.

On the way home from hiking all day, my wife and I decided to stop at Casa de Benavidez. It was close to where we were staying and recommended a few days before from our new friends for the margaritas. Summary - friendly & efficient staff (waitress was very good at answering our questions), lots of menu choices (w/ build... More

There are many New Mexican restaurants in Albuquerque, and many garner Very Good or even better reviews. This one is the better choice. It is sizable and the menu is extensive. But they do everything well. Which is not necessarily the case in some of the larger establishments that cook large quantities at a time. The seating areas and restrooms... More

If truth be told: like kids who worked in an ice cream/donut/pizza shoppe for a while, after 10ish years of one of these every three or so weeks, I went into a hiatus here. (I.e. Out-the-back-back, while still dining on other fare by or in the patio.) Last night I retried my FAV: The Stuffed Sopapilla with Chicharrones and Beans... More

This is a pleasant location offering Breakfast or Lunch (not formally Brunch, but otherwise indistinguishable) on a well-landscaped patio complete with a "waterfall" fountain. This is very pleasant for friends and discussions. Fulll Bar, very good service.

Found out this is a favorite restaurant of locals. There is both a fast food and full service restaurant in the same building. We ate lunch in the full service side in the garden area. Great food, service and surroundings.

Late one night we came in here looking for a good meal and a quiet environment to enjoy it in. Being a local, she knew this was our spot. Seat d quickly and served fast, we had drinks and chips shortly after seating. Dinner was enchiladas with beef and a side of whole beans. She did the chicken version. Both... More
