Stopped in at Casa midmorning on a Saturday. We numbered 9 in all and were promptly escorted to their beautiful shaded patio. You had to cross over this little bridge to get to our table. No sooner than when we were seated our waitress was asking for our drink order. My stuffed sopapilla was the best I've ever eaten. Smothered... More

Had lunch at Casa de Benavidez on a Saturday. There were 6 of us, and we had to wait about 15 minutes for our table. Makes sense, but there were a lot of open tables.....Huh? Servers were friendly but very slow. Food was fine but not exceptional.

We were done in Albuquerque for the balloon fiesta and winery tours, we were recommended this restaurant by a winery we visited. This was a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a great authentic meal. We will definitely be back.

I wanted to like this place after all of the positive reviews I've read. Plus, it is in a cute little pueblo style restaurant so I had to check it out! The food is soooo below sub par. It's very bland (especially to be located in New Mexico). The queso dip tasted like it came out of a Tostito's can... More

We had 2 chicken burrito plates to take away (restaurant was full but they have a take out service next door) and it was the best Mexican dish we ever had (coming from Europe). It was unbelievably spicy and hot but we LOVED it and we liked the very kind ladies serving us. We'll surely go back before leaving Albuquerque.

The Benavidez family have owned this started this restaurant years ago and the food is still the same FANTASTIC! Not to mention the family is so personable, they treat you as their own. I would only recommend their restaurant if you crave NM style cooking, which is way different than mexican food. Please try it and see for yourself.

Great food, prompt service, and the kids loved sitting by the goldfish pond. Jose was a really good server. We'll be back.

I look forward to trying new restaurants when visiting New Mexico and this one make me wish I lived closer so I could eat here more often. From start to finish the meal was fabulous. The salsa served with chips had just the right amount of spice and you could taste the wonderful flavor of the hatch chilies. Our meals... More

Very lovely outdoor setting. The plants and fish in the pond was great. The chili was very good. I had chicken tacos and Natillas for desert.

SUMMARY UP FRONT - Service was excellent - Food was great - Atmosphere has variety, is interesting, and can accommodate a range of needs (patio, main area, sunroom, bar, couples, families, etc.) - prices are low to moderate ($ - $$) We went for lunch today, were quite pleased. Ordered the famous sopa burger and took the advice of another... More
