So this was our second visit. I’m really not a fan of someone adding a 20% tip to my ticket. I’m a 20% tipper or even more, but it’s my choice, not yours. However, that said, service was good and fairly quick. The fire felt...More

A friend and I recently spent a great morning at the Albuquerque museum. When we finished there it was lunchtime and we were hungry. The Backstreet Grill is right across the parking lot and neither of us had been there. We were very pleased with...More

Amazing food and lovely staff! Was really pleased with the tastes. Very long waiting for getting the food though. We were a group of seven. We asked for without cilantro, and they unfortunately served us with one plate with cilantro (after a long wait), so...More

Had dinner tonight at Backstreet Grill with a friend. Food was good, attractive and a decent value. What I did not like was the 20% tip included on the bill even though there were only two of us. This is the first time I’ve ever...More

Was in town for business and decided to check out Old Town. Came across this place and gave it a shot. Good service, I was seated promptly and not stuck in a corner. Order the shrimp tacos and LOVED the shrimp. Amazing flavor. I thought...More

Adjoining the Old Town Plaza, it is a nice lunch option. We were seated promptly. We both had the high desert salad and it was very good. Relaxed atmosphere. Good selection of local beers. Very good experience.

This restaurant is a short way from the main plaza in Old Town, Albuquerque. We stopped for an enjoyable lunch on a cold, dry winter day. The service is good, the atmosphere is pleasantly informal, and the food is excellent.

We ate the Tuesday special which was Taco Tuesday and it was great. We got a variety of food with a flare of Tex Mex offerings. Our server was very cordial and was right there when we needed him. This was our second time and...More

1) experience: enjoyable 2) meal: delicious 3) atmosphere: comfortable fireplace 4) Service: Excellent. They are kind enough to add a 20% tip up front to your check which I'm not use to when not dining as a group.

Since I cannot respond to the management counter to my review I will answer this way. In New Mexico when I saw a Navajo Taco on the menu and ordered it with Green Chile I figured I was getting a New Mexico Dish. It was not even close to what I expected. The dish I received had no flavor and was more like a tasteless taco dish. My mistake but I was misled by the menu. The grilled cheese was a complete waste as well as it was a total grease sandwich. The Calamari was totally cooked to a crisp and like eating burnt whatever and I don't remember the other dish but you can see my issues. Then to top of the experience a server that was totally cocky did nothing more than take the order and never removed the dishes and maybe now you know why we won't be back. Your cuisine is your choice and that's no issue with me. Just like my choice is to never come back. So my question is is there valet parking?
