This is a great place to go and relax. Although after 10:00 it can get quite packed. They have a large selection of beers. Generally, bartenders get the drinks right, although it can depend on who you get. Usually I play some pool and later hang out in some of the lounge areas. Usually see people with their dogs in there too. Its a laid back place and is definitely a must go to if you are hanging out in downtown ABQ on a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday.

Great place. Dark. Loads of taps. Dark. Dark corners. Good place to play pool very badly. Best jukebox in town.

Stopped here for a bachelorette party and we had a great time! They offered pool but honestly it was more entertaining to watch everyone play and hang out! Drinks were great and the staff was sweet!

Nice pool tables, strong drinks and good people. This is my go to spot in downtown Albuquerque. Get there early on weekend nights if you want a pool table.

This bar was fun and lively. It offered a full bar as well as lots of beers on tap, and they even allow dogs inside!

This is by far my favorite bar in downtown Albuquerque. The drinks are inexpensive, the setting is low key, the crowd is diverse and the vibe is usually very chill.

The staff will disrespect you like there is no tomorrow. Shame on them. We paid dozens of dollars worth of alcohol and the staff was more than less than accommodating at closing when we needed the restroom. I will never recommend this bar to another patron. They have no idea what professionalism means. This place is HORRIBLE. Drinks are diluted, service is disgraceful. Thank the jerk in the hat with the bad attitude.

A nice old time pool hall with lounges and a good selection of beers. Anodyne is Greek for "without pain" except for the awful music. I grew up in pool rooms that were like libraries. The only sound was the click of the balls.

Saw a female employee pull a paying customers hair at closing time, the customer was upset and pushed the employee away..next thing I knew one of the bouncers grabbed the customer by the neck and started to punch her in the face. Terrible...when is it okay for a wimpy man to think it is okay to hit a woman? All he had to do was escort the customer out.What makes it worse..the rest of the staff just stood and watched. I won't ever go there again. I hope those two employees one day get a payback..pssshhh jerks

Stopped here for my birthday while on a road trip through New Mexico. Most of the bars I looked up seemed pretty douchey but I picked a great place to go for drinks before crashing at a hotel. Amazing jukebox, plants hanging from skylights, cozy booths and awesome decor. Our server was great, not invasive, only came over when our drinks were nearing gone... the best kind of server. :-) If I ever opened a bar I would want it to mirror this place. I had a great time.

Rude staff, terrible tap selection, perfect place for people who like to over pay for bottled beer while hipsters hang with their off leash not so supervised dogs. going here only ends in irritation.

..pale shadow of what it once was.. coke dealers in the bathroom, no jukebox anymore, lackadaisical and thoughtless management and service.. i wont be coming back..

This place is awesome, been going there for years. Beer selection is out of this world- so many and always adding new ones. As for the staff, I'd have to say the best I've come across in this burg. I don't play pool but they have some really nice tables and a lot of them. I like that you don't have to yell when talking to your friends, kind of a "grown up" bar. The review below sounds like one of the many meat heads they DON'T let in -sour grapes lol. No food, but several places deliver to this bar. This listing under restaurants, make no mistake it's a bar.
