My son found a beetle in his posole which ruined his appetite. We did get a 35% discount from the check of a large party. My open faced red chili burger was not that appetizing. If you want good New Mexican food you need to...eat at Cervantes which is my favorite restaurant for New Mexican food .More

The worse and most unappetizing food! Don’t go there! Soggy tacos served on top of a huge plate of beans. Lettuce must have been frozen- limp. Cheese from a bag. Salsas didn’t appeal either.

Don’t be fooled by the hype. Salsa was so hot it was not edible. They should have a milder version for people who aren’t into their mouths burning. Food was not good. Had so much cheddar cheese all over it. By the time it makes...it’s way to the table the cheese is disgusting. This was our little anniversary dinner. We didn’t even finish our meal. Brisket was bland. No seasoning at all. I just ant out into words what a disappointment this place was.More

Sadie’s was recommended to me as THE PLACE to eat in Albuquerque. We waited almost an hour to eat mediocre Tex Mex food. Our food was cold and mostly tasteless. I am from the D/FW area where Tex Mex is done right.

We really enjoyed our dinner upon arriving in Albuquerque at Sadie’s. They have three locations. Customer Service was very good. Food was good and the frozen mango margarita was very good although I probably could’ve used a little more liquor. Big portions too and great...chips that lasted at home too. Be sure to buy their homemade salsa. Be warned hot is very hot! And even there” not so hot” is still burning!More

Sadie’s is currently #22 of more than 1000 Albuquerque restaurants. Why? Good quality food, good quantity, fair prices, excellent service. A business model for success. I had the combination of four items, having chose the taco, enchilada, Chile rellano, and the tamale…all with brisket. Very...tasty! Their quacamole was the best I’ve ever had. The red Chile sauce was out of this world. The margarita was very good as well. I’d be reminded to not mention their tortilla chips which too are very good. Oh yes, with dinner sopapillas are provided bout only if you ask for them. Honey is provided on the table.More

For our last lunch in ABQ, our local friends took us here in November 2022. It was a Sunday afternoon so there was a decent crowd but our group of four didn't have to wait long. I enjoyed exploring the gift shop up front while...we waited anyway. The main dining room was really well decorated and spacious. I loved the use of local blankets as wall art, just wish I'd taken a picture. Our server was good and answered all my questions regarding my milk and beef allergies. Of course, for our last meal, we had to try the famous salsa. I got the Christmas (red and green mixed) and rather liked it. The chips were excellent and we took a bag home for the drive back to Amarillo. The portions were large and we all got our fill. Before we left, I bought a rainbow-striped burrito holder. If we go again, I'll definitely get a t-shirt and maybe salsa. But I'm a Texan and we're proud of our salsa, too!More

Having visited Sadies on Academy several times - we visited the location on 4th Street - I'm told it's the original. I ordered the nachos... I think they forgot 2/3 of them, when you can see the bottom of the plate on an order of...Sadie's nachos - something is WRONG - once we finally flagged down our server - she said "they always look like that".. no apologies, no offer to make it right - she just walked off like she was mad I had questioned her.......... will not visit this location again!! Service was "meh" and food was not quite that gooodMore

Sadies is a no-frills restaurant in a random part of town. While it feels more like an Olive Garden than a fancy restaurant, anything it lacked in ambience was made up for by the food. This was good, basic, New Mexican cuisine. Everything was delicious...and...ten kinds of fattening. Margaritas were tasty. There was not thing I had that I didn't enjoy. The food may not be delicate, but it's darn good.More

One of the people at the rental car company recommended Sadie's and since we were hungry we went with his suggestion. Best food of the entire trip! We adored the staff, they were so friendly and attentive - we never had to ask for anything...it...was like they had ESP. My friend was literally saying she wanted to ask for more water when the waiter had it at her side. It was uncanny. Everyone at the restaurant was so nice and just a joy to talk to. The salsa was fantastic, a little spicy but I loved it. The portions are huge so either come hungry or order something you want for breakfast the next day. The food was SO tasty and I would go back in a second. Thank you Sadie's for a memorable dinner!More

Went for dinner, and after a very short wait, had a table with great service. The food was very good, and their salsa was different, but one of the best I've ever had. And sopapillas were included with the meal. Prices were on par with...other local restaurants, and they even had locally brewed craft beer.More
